Denver COULD go big like they did in game 1 using Gordon to punish the smaller wings of the Heat. Not sure why they went away from it in game 2 honestly. Not much the Heat can do other than trade 3 for 2 and hope the percentages catch up in that scenario.
Meh just a group of people irrationally hinging their hopes that Alperen is something historically special that they see and no one else does based on the fact that a different NBA player is a MVP caliber superstar in the Finals versus a group of equally irrationally arguing that only "3&D" teams can win and how that somehow invalidates the Sengun/Jokic/Sabonis "archetype" yet also saying that Nuggets are also a 3&D team. Personally, I think it's such a dumb argument.
Going big? Explain vs Jimmy SF, Bam PF, Love C......Aaron Gordon abused Gabe Vincent (6'1") in Game 1. Miami adjusted by inserting Kevin Love. Speed is what effects the bigger teams. Nuggets averaged 20 points or more in fast breaks each game of the playoffs prior to this series. 10 fast break points in game 1. Miami attacks the offensive rim in fast breaks and gets back and protects the rim defensively. I also called that before the series. I told an SOFan boi the Jokic gives you 1/3 of the game. But is a liability in 2/3 of the game being 1) defense and 2) transition Off & Def
we are really on the dumb argument now, regardless of Sengun. The Sengun-jokic thing is brought up by the dumb argument posters to distract. And the argument is really dumb.
On Twitter a war has been going on last couple of day bw sengun fans and haters. One side will win this hard fought battle at the end of next season and i'm not siding with any group however i'd be mildy pleased if sengunsexuals win it and banish the haters from Twitter.
Can we please all stop arguing about wether sengun is good or not . We are in a rebuild and I’m excited to have drafted a player like him . The potential with him as well as all the other young players we have is through the roof !
You can use Gordon to float and find the mismatch especially since he isnt much of a threat from 3. You can inverse the action with Jokic at the high post with that 2 man game and the 3 pt shooters on the wings. Kevin Love wont slow Gordon down too much and interrupts the transition game for MIA while in the lineup. When the games are at their most critical the action tends to slow down to allow more methodical sets and plays these arent necessarily barn burning final scores. Denver wants to control pace no secret there, but MIA can be a stubborn team too in that regard as one of the slower paced squads in the NBA during regular season. They have reinvented themselves to an extent these playoffs as they do try to get out in front of the breaks. I dont think they keep shooting lights out and DEN will be able to dictate the tempo of games from my perspective at least. If MIA keeps shooting high volume 40%+ from 3 it wont matter I may agree with that vs all the other things.
Can you Rockets fans please stop talking about your favorite Rockets player on a Rockets fan site, like how is this still a thing??
Guys don't play like that anymore because for every four of those ridiculous shots that went in, six more bricked, and that level of scoring efficiency doesn't cut it in today's nba lol
It is also needed less because of the step-back or step-side. Also luka does them but his shots are better because his foot work is better.
Of course. Also, I'd like to hear more about his interactions with Udoka and what the new coach may want him to work on.
