Your incessant posting about Porter's hall of fame candidacy is one thing...

Are you really going to say KJ Martin's athleticism is not a factor in his success as a player in the NBA? Take a break.

Unsurprisingly you failed to understand what I was saying. KJ Martin is the most athletic player on the Rockets, but is he the best player? No. If he shot like Amen, he wouldn't even be in the league.

I would be super interested to watch a video of all of his passes. Does such a thing exist?

I can understand where both sides of the aisle are coming from, but we aren’t the one’s making the decision on who gets drafted. Ime, Stone and their staff are going to bring this kid in, give him a thorough work out and look at more film than any of use have access to. After an intense screening, if they decide to choose him, then I would have to think they felt there was something to work with beyond his broken shot. Besides aren’t we bringing in a shooting coach to work on his shooting deficiency? Now, if he ends up not being the pick then we all have our answer.

I don't understand what you're saying because it's obnoxiously silly and contradictory.

    LOL, sure, that's it.

Did you finally figure it out though or are you still struggling?

Still struggling. Something about athleticism doesn't matter in the NBA?

KJ has athleticism and decent shooting, but he is not a playmaker, elite passer, great handles, vision or a very good defender. KJ is not a starter in the NBA, and starting for us on a losing team does not say much. KJ is going to get a 2nd contract this year and it should be around 12-15 million but he is not going to starter for any team. Amen Thompson is a Point Guard who plays like JaMorant but cannot shoot right now, who can look over 6’3-6’5 point guard, this is what Joker does to centers in this league. KJ is athletic, average shooter and a good finisher but that’s it.

We cannot compare Amen to KJ because Amen is on another level, such as being a defender, playmaker, elite 1st step, vision, great handles and feel for the game.

KJ is a nice guy and has great athleticism, finisher and a decent 3 point shot but that’s it. Being a playmaker, elite 1st step and a defender(on ball defender, rebounder and shot blocker) is transferable to the NBA. Remember in 2011, Kawhi Leonard was athletic, elite 1st step, great defender, great length but could not shoot at all and Houston pass him up for a big man who could shoot-Marcus Morris. Morris became a average player in the league but Kawhi has become a superstar and won many championships. The Spurs had a vision for a player like Kawhi and the Rockets must draft Amen, start him on the bench and work on his shot…we now have a shooting coach…..drafting Cam Whitmore or Jarace Walker are going to be nice players. In the NBA, YOU NEED PLAYMAKERS….you can teach shooting but not play making, vision, feel for the game, athleticism and a elite 1 step. 3 point shooting is important but his free throw shooting is more important because when he start playing down hill and attacking defense, they are going to foul him like defender did to Paolo Bancheros….if you are too big or to quick they will have to foul you…

He skipped his Senior year in High school and joined OTE in 2021. Played 2 years OTE 21-22 and 22-23. He would be a sophomore in college this upcoming year.

Here's to hoping the Blazers are watching these and draft Miller.
