Ok. Giannis alone, randle and Brunson, Tatum and no left hand brown comparable to Malone/Stockton, Chuck/Kj, MVP Admiral/Rodman? All in their primes? No way man no way.
giannis wasn't there, he was injured and when he came back with his injured back was useless, looked like trae young on defense, and tatum was injured/useless in game 7
I can see your injury angle. If they win this series it will be though. I don’t see it going past 6, talent gap way too big
You're acting as though the personnel on that Rockets team was the equivalent of this Heat team. Those Rockets were 27-19 before somehow being "bad" and going 18-18 to finish the season. This lower-seeded Heat team is not equivalent to the lower-seeded Rockets team. Heat don't have anyone in the same stratosphere as Hakeem. And you can even make an argument that Butler is only somewhat better than Drexler. So Butler and Bam with a bunch of undrafted players minus their third leading scorer, going against two of the teams most people said were the best teams in the league (MIL, BOS) and an upstart Knicks team that was riding the same high as Sacramento, in the West. And now they have to go against another "the best team in the league," in Denver. I don't know why, but you're simultaneously playing up Miami's talent while downplaying their opponents. If that Rockets team had the same talent level as this Heat team while going against Malone/Stockton, Chuck, Robinson, etc, then yeah, I'll give you that Rockets' run any day. But you're too biased.
Miami stands some chance if Strus and Martin can manage better than a combined 0-12. But Denver is a well oiled machine. Even if Miami gets everyone going, I still take Denver.
This has to be the quietest crowd in an opening finals game I can remember, the energy is like a pre season game. For a team that has never been there before that is pretty shocking. There were Boston and Sac games this playoffs where we could not even hear the commentators, you can hear a pin drop here.
