I think this will be a better finals then most people expect. I like Miami to get a chance to get this first game out of the first two road games tonight. Denver not playing in 10 days playing a factor
I can't remember a Finals where I liked the stars of both teams with Jokic and Butler being two of my 5 or so favorite players. So if they go back and forth then we can get a Game 7. A Game 7 that takes place on Father's Day. It would be cool to see Butler win it for his spiritual if not actual father.
That's garbage. '11 Dallas is still over '23 Miami if they win this. '95 Rockets are still #1 facing 2x HOF(KJ and Penny would be HOF if KJ didn't kiddie diddle and Penny didnt get hurt) duos in their primes all the way through on the road. '23 Miami gets credit for their 3 difficult matchups, but the Knicks? Nah. Even worse than Mavs beating Portland. Houston face all legit teams and closest to beating all 60 win teams. 95 championship is the most difficult championship won and advanced metrics agree.
Miami has heart and grit. I used to underestimate this. It may not always win against superior talent, but it can’t ever be counted out
I don’t agree with this at all, you think any of those squads had undrafted #2, 3 options?? come on man. the 11 mavericks with a similar squad 3 years prior were one of the greatest RS teams of all tiem. The only reason they were considered underdogs etc is because the Kidd trade tanked them short term until they started finally clicking: this take is completely wrong, no offense. That Mavs team with dirk was considered one of the biggest juggernauts in league history
They were 3rd seed, and yes I know those Mavs were stacked. Kobe Pau and OKC and Heatles is impressive list of opponents. Bam and Butler are all stars. Bam made the all star game this year not Jimmy but Jimmy is their alpha #1. Hakeem was the only all star to win b2b championships without an all star teammate. Drexler was not an all star in 95. Hakeem was brilliant that run. Miami is as proven as Houston was in getting to the finals already. Jimmy been brilliant this run. Undrafted or not. The role players are there to shoot. That Knicks series puts this heat run below 95
Joker looks so much bigger than Alpy. Idc what the measurements say. The eye test Joker looks like taller, thiccer and longer
You’re not just talking about rookie 1sts or rookie 2nd rounders “Underafted or not they’re there to make shots” the track record of undrafted guys making any sort of impact exists for a reason If only it were that easy. Bam and Jimmy comparable to Dirk, Hakeem et al?! nonway man. No way
Are you now seeing why this would be the greatest underdog Ring of all time if heat win? they are outmatched so severely on the talent side. In 7 game series winning out every round like this is next to impossible
Miami is playing scared it seems. Have to regain their mojo quickly before this one slips out of the hands
If the Heat are going to have to rely on Bam hitting middys all game to get points, they're in trouble.
