    DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — The Taliban and Iran exchanged heavy gunfire Saturday on the Islamic Republic’s border with Afghanistan, sharply escalating rising tensions between the two nations amid a dispute over water rights.

    Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency quoted the country’s deputy police chief, Gen. Qassem Rezaei, accusing the Taliban of opening fire first Saturday morning on the border of Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province and the Afghan province of Nimroz. IRNA said Iran inflicted “heavy casualties and serious damage.”

    This was always the plan. Feed the taliban anti chinnese propoganda and show them what's happening with the Muslims in Xinjiang.

    The entire region is going soon realize how much headache the usa was carrying for everyone by being in Afghanistan. This is why getting the eff out of Afghanistan was 100% the right move @Space Ghost . The taliban are going be everyone's biggest nightmare

    While the Taliban and Iran don’t like the US tht doesnt mean they like each other. The Taliban is a radical Sunni group while Iran is the lead extreme Shiite group.
