Jokic 47.4% from 3 also led the way, he was shooting over AD like it was child’s play.

I was watching Suns-Nuggets series....Jokic does drop coverage defense
and takes a day and a half to contest the extra pass three In the corner.

Suns couldn't take advantage of because Ayton
looked lost out there trying to fit in with KD, CP3 did his usual bow out of the playoffs and they traded away Bridges and Cam Johnson.

Fakers ran out of gas.....AD was a no-show every
    other game.

    Jokic had to get by:
    Gobert-KAT sucky tandem
    then
a depleted Suns with only KD-Booker
    the
an out of gas Fakers team

Miami may have Herro back.....they will
make the extra pass to take advantage of the
Jokic drop coverage....only wanting to stay by the rim defense.

Miami won game 7 with a zone defense that made the Celtics a one dimensional jump shooting squad. Much like I said teams will do vs Scoot Henderson/Amen and Ausar.

If s Heat team will do that against Jaylen Brown and Tatum.....they won't mind doing that vs Scoot, Amen or Ausar

Yes, they had to sub him out at the end of games. Sengun is 6’9” without shoes. Looks like he grew a half inch so maybe he’s 6’9.5”

You did say he’ll be better, stop lying. He is more athletic, that’s true. He’s also a lot smaller. I think he has a chance to be a lil better than Sabonis.

Or stop trying to come up with a trajectory based on another player and just let said player plot their on trajectory.

    Real question from an 03er:

Why can't we let the kids get a chance to play under a real coach and without the mandate to tank before we label any of them?

I am very optimistic that with those two key changes we will see better overall play from our core players and we'll have a much clearer picture of what we really drafted up to this point! I'm really high on Green/Sengun/Bari/Tari and would be surprised if three of those players don't make HUGE strides this coming season! Will any of them be All NBA in the near future? Your GUESS is as good as mine, but we can't deny that all four have untapped potential that was being hindered by the lack of discipline and an unorganized game plan! Having a smile glued to your bosses face 24/7 no matter the circumctances is not only creepy, but it creates an enviroment of aloofness and indifference!

    Go Rockets!!!

Not really. The NBA has never cared who is the player better, especially for role players which Sengun right now is no matter what your expectations or hype for him is. NBA execs care about who is easier to build contenders (or at least the franchise) around and for role players, who can fit around a star / superstar the best. It doesn't matter that Sengun is a better player than KPJ. It only matters that you can (in theory) fit KPJ's strengths around a star / superstar easier and better. Sengun, on the other hand, is at least for now both a spacing and defensive liability and therefore a much harder fit for teams.

Denver has two legitimate scoring threats and has peripheral players that put that squad as one of the best defensive teams AND best shooting teams in the NBA this year. MIA is a cool cinderella #8 seed, but they lost some of their swag when they allowed BOS to run off 3 straight against them and then needed Tatum to get hurt early to pull away for good. I really like the team ball MIA plays and feel Spoelstra is the best coach in the NBA, but I think the DEN defense will be able to get out on all their shooters. Bam will be the X factor for MIA and it may not make a difference how well he plays if DEN comes out hitting their 3 pointers.

TBF MIA is missing Herro. It would be a different matchup if he was still healthy.

Your first sentence is correct but the theory part is waaay too big for KPJ. He has not played a single minute in the role we think he should play. He has behavior issues. He quits playing when he doesn't get the ball, even if he has the ball most by far in the team. We don't really know what he will look like when he is in the new role, having the ball less.

I agree with the general sentiment but not when the player is KPJ.

I am all good with that. I don't think Sengun will be a player similar to jokic anyway, except for playmaking from the center part, which still would be in different ways.

But when the claim is 'Sengun cannot be Jokic', looking at stats of corresponding years gives some insight and is some information.

His +/- was better than the score differential in every single one of these games (although he presumably had to share the court with Nix a lot, as almost always).

He is 36% last 3 seasons though. If he can hit over 40% consistently, nuggets could win for a long time barring injuries.

Will you fall on your jokic will never win in the new nba if the nuggets win or will you make even more excuses as to why you were wrong?

Could you explain the reasoning of your statement? So, what we have here is a mediocre 8-seed that lost its first play-in game and was 3 minutes away from losing its second. Then they lose Herro in game 1 of the first round, and the team becomes world-beaters, beating up the #1, #5, and #2 seeds, without home court? How are they missing Herro? Missing him like a hole in the head?

Herro is a flimsy primadonna and a cancer. All flash. Poor defender, turnover prone, soft. Herro, Jalen Green and Ty Maxey are the same player: they look good, but are net-negatives to the team.

Sengun is a better defender than KPJ.
