My wife is from Kansas City, so I've actually really enjoyed having a side rooting interest in Mahomes and the Chiefs. As for hated teams, probably the Cowboys followed closely by the Cowboys and then followed by the Cowboys, Cowboys, Cowboys and finally those asshats the Cowboys. Also the Titans. And Cowboys.
Growing up an Oilers fan in the 70's I hated the Steelers but over the years that dislike has waned. The hate for the Cowboys on the other hand has lasted decades and never goes away! I root for two teams on Sundays...Texans and whoever is playing the Cowboys.
Honestly I don't think I hated another team more than the Texans the past few years. I seriously despised Cal, BoB, Easterby and DW4.
Went to school in Missouri. Friends are all chiefs fans… I hate the chiefs. And that was before they got this good.
I grew up liking the Oilers and Vikings. Loved those old Purple People Eater defenses! I enjoyed the first Houston Gamblers so I followed Jim Kelly in BUF and really wanted him to win one SB, much like my earlier years pulling for Tarkenton leading Vikes to SB. Neither did it. I didn't hate the Cowboys until Jerry bought them and fired Landry unceremoniously. Actually liked Staubach, Lilly, Too Tall, Calvin Hill, etc. Since that time, I can't stand them. Like @charlieaustin I hated the Steelers because they always seemed to find a way to beat the Oilers, but gosh I admired the players they had. Currently, I do not like the Pats, Browns or Cowboys. I do like to watch Mahomes in KC (Son's wife is big Chiefs fan), more because he's from Texas (like I used to root for Brees in NO). Now, for better or worse I'm a pure Texans' fan. Yes, it's been painful, but I believe we're on the upswing.
Cowboys/ fans Eagles/ fans Browns/ that QB Stankees/ fans Manchester City Conner McGregor/ proper 12 is garbage Rob Manfred/ Yankees blower And whatever team the rat Fiers is playing for this year Hope he get splattered in a live donkey show
Sticking to the NFL, the dislike is for the Cowboys, Colts, and Titans. Always hated the Cowboys growing up in Texas, hated the Colts since the inception of the Texans, and the Titans hold a special place of hate for taking my team and its history out of town. Get bent to the entire Adam’s family. On the positive side, I have to point to the 49ers. Just like the scrappy and physical play they show up with lately and historically was a big fan of Montana growing up. Bonus points DeMeco’s coming from there and we hopefully replicate some or a lot of that toughness style. Would be nice to hear teams fear coming to play us and leave black and blue.
Colts and titans for me. Unlike most Houstonians, I'm pretty ambivalent towards the cowboys. I mean, we only play them every 3 years so it's really not much of a rivalry. And believe it or not, the cowboy fans I know are some of the most pessimistic, fatalistic fans you will ever encounter. They've been beaten down by Jerry Jones for so long and are convinced they will never win anything until he's gone.
