So you agree... You think they all suck.

Wow. Do you really think we're ready to compete this year? In a rebuild you only give your picks 1 to 2 years to develop? Even when they're in a system designed by the GM to tank? Have you ever heard the phrase "cut off your nose despite your face"????

While some of what you said is hyperbole, most of it was on point.

I think the continuing development of Smith, Green and Sengun is the key. To me, those three do have All NBA potential. So unless we are getting Wemby/Embiid/Jokic or someone at that level, we don't trade any of these guys, make a pick in the draft and go from there.

The next '24-'25 season might be a better time to round out the veteran presence, for now, a couple will do.

This. I want to see what these guys have under a coach that can actually coach. Then we can figure out what we need

It should be viewed as a huge success if we follow in the Thunder's footprint--they had 22 wins, then 24, then 40 due to SGA's breakout. For that to happen we would need to have one of our young guys have a huge breakout season and become a superstar overnight. That would be the best case outcome. And that's still a sub-.500 team that won't make it past the play-in.

The median outcome, assuming we add some veterans, should be around 30-35 wins.

Anyone thinking we're actually going to compete for anything should pump the brakes and take a take a deep breath. We're not quite there yet.

I’m in favor of keeping the pick…or trading back a few spots to still get a good player while acquiring more assets.

No it isn't....it is saying we have our core 4 and let's support the ones we have - either YOU BELIEVE that Green, Jabari, Sengun and KPJ are good enough, and if that is the case support them, or if you think they aren't then you draft.

I, like the org, believe we have our core.

No…No….No….Pablo could not and cannot shoot….he shot 42.7% FG and 29.8 at the 3 point line

I know Amen can shoot 42 and 29% next year

the OTC’s 3 point line is not the college 3 point line but the NBA 3 point line…

Jalen Green was 6th in a redraft, and Jabari did not get a single ROY vote this year when they have 6 other players getting votes. Jabari is considered a late lotto in a redraft by many, other teams fans do not even want Sengun or Jabari in a trade, that is telling. Sengun is the only player we drafted that is worth more than his draft spot, but I believe we gave up two first rounders to get to this spot. We have blown some picks on guys who can not even get on the floor, Christopher may be out of the league completely by the time his rookie deal is done. This is a dumpster fire front office that is on the cusp of being fired this season if they dont show drastic improvement. They are not smart. They had an opportunity to trade for Paulo and did not trade up, they also had an opportunity to trade #2 for SGA in 2021, they didnt do it. There is a reason Wemby couldn't hold his excitement in when he knew he was not going to Houston.

We are dead last in the NBA in talent evaluation, it is not close. When you have the Knicks even doing a better job in the late first by picking up a guy who started throughout the playoffs in a relatively deep run for Knick standards, we are not good at drafting. You've got guys like Grimes showing hes an NBA starter, while the comparable draft asset in JayGup is destined for an overseas assignment. They had two chances to pick up an NBA playoff starter, and went with Garuba and JayGup who ride the bench on the worst team in the NBA.

The only reason the situation is not that bad is because we lucked out in the lotto to even get the #2 and #3 picks in drafts that had decent top 3 players. Now our luck kind of ran out and we have to use skill to draft in a class that is not that deep with a 4th pick. There is likely a very good player somewhere at 4+, every year there are guys that are found by good front offices. The Rockets I really think just read clutchfans and read online articles and just pick a guy.

Yep, and won't be until we start drafting good defenders instead of 6'4 guards when we actually have the chance to do so.
