I drive to work everyday like most other average american people. I drive along 610 and 290 up to my office and notice so much garbage, cigarette buts, trash bags, cans, sofas (yes I saw one of those the other day), and just about every other thing you can imagine would be disposed of out of someones window.

SIDE NOTE: I also noticed another intriguing thing about all the litter that lines every single street in Houston - the homeless at every corner along freeways. Most of the litter I see that is on corners has got to come from the homeless. I cant see it any other way.

The worst is when mowers mow the grass on the side of freeways and dont even bother to pick up the litter. They just mow over it grinding it up into millions of tiny particles.....

    Does this bother anyone else?

Do we have more litter than other cities?

Is there any stop to this unsightly problem?

The only other city I have ever lived in is Los Angeles.

Comparing the two, Los Angeles has at least as much litter on it's freeways, and perhaps more.

My fault... Sorry. I just tend to use Houston Highways as my own personal dumping ground.

Sitting in traffic last week, I was next to a pickup truck full of landscaping guys. One guy stood up in the bed of the truck and collected everyone's McDonalds trash and put it in one bag. I thought "How nice, a designated trash guy."

Then the a-hole chucked the bag onto the sidewalk at the corner of West Dallas and Shepherd.

People like that need to be pistol whipped.

Yeah, and you smokers...use your friggin ashtrays. I did when I smoked.
