Yes it sucks but Pressly put this pitch where he wanted. Abreu on the other hand did not. Sometimes you just tip your hat to the hitter.
I kind of blame you for talking up the Memorial Day Massacre of a few years ago. OH, and for posting in all caps.
Well tomorrow my dad is turning 60 and im taking him and myself (the oldest) and my sister (the youngest) to the game tomorrow! My boss told me about the MLB Ballpark APP seat upgrade trick so I'm going to try it out! Also totally forgot about $1 Dog Night Long season to go!
Meh. I don’t think we suddenly have a bullpen problem. We will likely have a problem a couple times during this season, but don’t read too much into this loss. Abreu hasn’t been as sharp the last few times but the stuff is the same, and it will even out. As for Pressly, he isn’t dominant and he had saved 28 in a row so it was a matter of time. The offense at least is more explosive with Altuve in the line up and we will see if Abreu is turning the corner - so it could be looking up.
The twins, who haven't won a playoff game in something like 17 years.... my bad, they've lost 18 playoff games in a row dating back to 2004.
People overreact to everything. The line drive that tied it is a foot lower Altuve catches it and we win it the best win of the season, but very little would have actually changed. Pressly blew a save, it happens. Some games that could go either way will go against you. Not everything means something.
Listening to the postgame show, more people are mad about ruining Altuve's night than the L itself. I can completely relate. Ms. Carroll (130 yrs old) just put me in a better mood. She is never wrong. Ain't no stopping us now!
Ms Carrol is never negative. She's been wrong plenty. When she is wrong, she'll just blow if off by saying "maybe next year"
That's my purse! I don't know you! Show us on the doll where you got touchy? I was just saying that you don't know anything about Johnny Cash. Which is true.
The track record would say you are right, of course. The ebb and flow of 162 games makes random games in May seem like a big deal. I would be more sanguine if our starting pitching depth was not so depleted.
Yeah, they probably need another starter, ideally another solid reliever and a bat that can play some first and maybe corner outfield. It is early but the expectation is that there will be the type of players the Astros need available at the deadline. They don’t need to add a star. Also, the Astros are looking at several different possibilities internal and external. They have already talked to teams about a starter and situational bat. I am pretty confident they get what they need via trade as long as the core pieces stay healthy.
