Or you just take the guy you want most at 4 and call it a day. We have plenty of draft capital and need roster spots for real vets.

In this mock Miller falls to 4 and we trade down to 5 for Bogdonovic and 2 future seconds from Detroit. I’m much more bullish on a move like that than giving up the farm to move up to 2 or 3.

Only one of the Nets pick plus the 4th and KJM should be offered for Scoot Henderson. KPJ doesn't play defense despite having the tools to do so. Unfortunately, he hasn't matured either. His trade value remains low. He really needs to work with Udoka. Jalen Green needs to work very hard too.

Even though trades can happen on draft night, I'm always a little suspicious of anybody including them in a mock draft. They're hard to get done, easier and likely pretty realistic to just pretend there won't be any that happen on draft night.

Black wouldn't be too much of a reach at 5, but I'd probably prefer Ausar or Jarace Walker at that spot.

I hope Stone can get a valuable young player along with Black by trading down from the 4th pick if that's the best option for the team.

I agree, I’m just of the opinion it is better to play the long game and grab a vet/future assets to trade down a spot ot two if Miller falls to 4 and some team overvalued him. I think he’ll be a good starter but not all star level in the league.

I don't know if I'm overvaluing the 4th pick or undervaluing Bogdonovic, but I'm not in love with that return. I guess if you 100% know Black (or whoever) is your man, that's better than nothing, but I feel if you played your GM cards better, you could extract much more than that.

Then again, compared to Iko's trades, that is an A+ move.

Exactly! The details are maleable but if the goal is to compete next year it might be a good way to pick up a helpful vet and still get your guy at 5 or 6.

Jalen Green catching a stray lol

idk I'd pretty much go all in for Henderson if it was available to me, the hypothetical GM of the Houston Rockets. Walking away from the tank with Henderson, Green, Smith at the core seems worthwhile. Whatever it took, probably wouldn't say no.

Did Porter do something immature last season?

Ive been thinking this too BUT Miller is just perfect for what Charlotte and what they probably think they need to do. They dont want to anger Ball.

    Agreed.
With all the premium draft value supposedly needed to trade up for 1 of the "big 3", then if Amen climbs into that stratosphere it now becomes a "big 4" and our pick deserves a premium return of it's own!

Doesn't HAVE to be a 1st from DET., but it does need to be a nice return.
Bogey and five 2nd rd picks maybe?
Be nice to have an extra pick just outside the 1st round for several years straight!
    Talent drops all the time.
    Duren and three 2nd's?
We get a young rim runner for the 2nd squad. (depends how highly the pistons value Miller).

I'm convinced Iko's an espn plant or a closet mavs/jazz fan!

I don’t think good Christian Tilman will approve a trade involving the head honcho :(

If Miller falls I'd absolutely trade back with Detroit or Orlando and pick up Walker.

Cam Whitmore is very intriguing- 6’7 power wing scores on all three levels…

Move the entire team to a different City so they won't interfere with Astros Broadcasts again. Maybe Anchorage.

At first quick glance it looked like Green post haircut, maybe that's the new 'twin' backcourt
