The Mariners got the 29th pick for JRod winning last year. Right now it looks like Miller will get the Mariners another pick, but it should be a fun race

He has a career OPS of .855 with runners in scoring position, and he has over a .400 BA and OPS over 1.000 with runners at 1B and 3B specifically. If that's failing frequently to you, then I guess he does. Plus, as mentioned, he should have walked.
1 run is fine as long as he keep it at 1. offense needs to score at least 5 to give the defense a good chance to win.
