    I just stumbled onto this after going down some rabbit holes about Watergate and JFK. It’s well worth a watch. It looks cheesy but the guy doing the interview was a UT professor and the guy being interviewed was a Houston Post reporter turned Texas Tech journalism professor.

    It’s about the links between the savings and loan scandal, the CIA, Iran-contra, the mafia and corrupt politicians.

    I mean they are way more influential. They also understand how to operate in polite society to where they aren't targets to heavily scrutinize for neo-liberals.


    The scary aspect about guys like Trump or DeSantis is if they didn't get into these petty child like culture war issues, they too would be accepted amongst neo-liberal circles regardless of what policies they pushed or implemented.

    No doubt Trump could have been accepted. He just went the John Gotti route and was so brazenly stupid and corrupt that he became unacceptable.
