The market is bad. I will prefer to wait a little longer to steal bargain contracts (which is not rare) in August and September. I still believe we will land one or two additional key parts to this team. I would love for us to swing a trade to the Seatle PG, Antonio, and then get a descent backup big man.

We do not need to handcuff ourseleves financially....at least there is really no player out there worth that risk.

Boy you guys have some high standards around here. If Kidd isn't worth the max then I'm assuming nobdody outside the top 5 players in the league are worth the max, because Kidd is undoubtedly in that 6-10 range. He has leadership skills that Tmac can only dream of.

Kidd played on one leg in the playoffs and NJ still pushed Detroit to seven games. If he was actually healthy, the playoffs would have turned out differently..

I doubt anybody is going to make a trade for jkidd with his knee. If im not mistaken he had the same microfracture procedure Webber and Penny did. The jury is still out on Webber, but penny was never the same after his surgeries. With him being 31 years old with around 5 or 6 max years left on his max contract trading for him would be extremly risky.

Bingo. No one in the league would touch Kidd and his 5 years/90 million right now. It would be a crippling move, especially since that wasn't a routine scope they performed on his knee. His career is in jeoparady, seeing how a less-mobile Kidd is not particularly useful. It's not like he has a jumper to fall back on.

Dallas' current offer is NOT Walker/Howard for Kidd. That came out of the Jersey camps. Cuban is offering them packages that consist of guys like Abdul-Wahid, Laettner, Bradley, Delk, and maybe Stackhouse. He's not giving them a blue-chip for Kidd.

And if I was NJ I would laugh at that Dallas trash.

Kidd has never gotten along with a coach he's had. I think it would be funny if he went back to Dallas, they still wouldn't win and it would make it all the more pathetic.
