I'm not set on Harden coming back, but we quickly forget how awesome he was... His last full season here he had this: PJ Tucker Russell Westbrook Danuel House Ben McLemore Austin Rivers Clint Capela Eric Gordon Robert Covington That's the other top 8 players in minutes played. They finished with 44 wins and the 4th seed. That doesn't sound like much but that was the year shortened by covid. That's a 52 win team in a regular season. If they can add some additional pieces like a Jaylen Brown, Grant Williams, Beverley, Lopez, etc. then that's clearly a better roster even ignoring development of Jabari or Sengun... What would you pick as better? Harden Westbrook House Tucker Capela/Covington Or James Harden Jaylen Brown Jabari Smith Grant Williams Alperen Sengun I'm seeing 55+ wins with reasonable assumptions.... Not saying there isn't a better option out there but the talk of adding Harden just to get to a play in game is not a likely scenario... they likely do far better...
complains about proven rotational players in Green, Uncle Jeff, and Temple and yet looks the other way at the bottom barrel scrubs on the roster at the time. ironic
lol.. damn, me not paying much attention to this team the last couple of years made me forget about about all those previous moves. Appreciate it. I'm no longer innocent lol
And you would complain had they kept those guys. Morey gave Ryan Anderson 80 million over 4. Here are their 2018-19 salaries: Ariza: 15 million Anderson: 20 million Shumpert: 11 million Mbah a Moute: 4.3 million Only Ariza played significantly after leaving Houston. 50 million in payroll, all Morey decisions. Here are how many nba minutes each of those players played after they were unloaded: Anderson: 336 (3 teams including houston again) Ariza: 5,145 (for 6 teams in 4 years) Mbah a moute: 86 (2 teams including houston again) Shumpert: 252 So the 3 guys not name Ariza played 674 minutes the rest of their careers over 6 seasons. That's about 4 or 5 games a year coming off the bench. And Ariza was trash by then which is why he was being dumped by teams. I know, I know, they had all this tremendous value as contracts to trade.... all the nba teams are looking for guys who are too hurt to get on the court so they can take your late first round picks for their best player.... Delusion...
Tilman bootlickers for years "it can't get any worse" It's now 2023 and its still getting worse lol What a coincidence, the best team Jokic has had to date and they're in the luxury tax. They're also the first team into the NBA finals. If Tilman was the owner, he would have passed on signing the likes of KCP, BB and opted for some over the hill vet mins. and CF's would be like kcp/bb ain't worth it
Brian Windhorst: "The Sixers have not shown an appetite to pay [James] Harden the max... There's been a very hard rumor out there in the NBA about Harden's intent to go back to Houston and it makes you wonder if it's being sold a little bit too hard."
Shocking. I guess all the BS Harden's camp has been putting out recently hasn't worked quite like they thought it would.
Has anybody else heard his mom is battling cancer and that’s one of the reasons he wants to be back in Houston to be close to her?
