Been a lot of crazy talk around here lately about bringing back old friends. But you can only choose one. And he must still be an active NBA player.

In order to elevate our 5-10 year window? I'd go with CP3. Don't like him, but we have 7-8 young players under team control for 5+ years who'd benefit from his presence and retain his on-court wisdom even after he retires. That's the biggest value generator. One of our youngest guys becoming a star would be more impactful than signing one outright because like the Warriors we'd be able to build with ultimate control/flexibility over our most important assets.

Harden can give us a flash in the pan for a year or two but it's fool's gold. Just a shallow first round playoff exit or two with no long term value. We can make the playoffs without him so he's not making it POSSIBLE he's just making it easier.

Beverley is a good option and I love guys who are willing to push the edge but he is past the acceptable line for me in terms of willing to injure other players, attack people from behind and hijacking the team's narrative in the media. That's bad juju.

The most success Rockets made in last decade is the season when Rockets have Christ Paul.

    Pick one for what?

Mud wrestling? 1 on 1? Strip club sightseeing......

I select moving on and choose neither.

If I can select, why not give me Luka, Giannis, Steph, Jimmy B, Paul George, Booker, Jokic, Jamal Murray, Michael Porter, Aaron Gordon......

If I'm fantasy booking, the answer is "Harden on a sweetheart $20M/yr deal".

If I'm living in the reality where Harden wants $200 million, then Chris Paul's contract and age make him a perfect bridge player that doesn't compromise future flexibility, assuming the Suns don't want a king's ransom for him.

Interesting. Figured the "nones" would at least begrudgingly take Clint back on the right deal since he's still in his prime. You just figure he's not worth the cost in assets?

CP3 more for his value on the bench rather than the floor.

Can we bring their old self in a time machine or current version only?
    Time machine = Beard
Current version = prolly CP3 (but I am of the belief there is no way he comes back here as long as Tilman is here... worst contract ever!)
