But in terms of painted nails, I do know that in old China, painted nails were a status symbol for the men in the imperial court, and more exclusively masculine than feminine (though women painted and took good care of their nails too).

A quick search online also told me that Babylonian soldiers used to paint their nails black before going to war. I guess it was pretty scary to them, or something.

Ja, for all his problems, always had a pretty commanding voice and is a pretty good speaker so it seemed like he was more mature then he turned out to be.
