i ahven't read that thread, but w/ all due respect, there have been plenty of threads led by democrats that have focused on similar trivial issues. ashlee simpson is not solely supported by those on my side of the aisle. (btw, who is ashlee simpson???)
And they were equally stupid. I don't care, on a political level, if Jenna Bush likes to get drunk and flash her boobs to random passersby. On a prurient level of course I am very interested as long as she keeps her weight down. Anyway, my point is that we purvey & consume the very trash poitics that we so detest and express contempt for. We have only ourselves to blame for that.
if he got off the Xanax for awhile, yeah, i think he'd have as good a chance as anybody. what i'd really like to see is a candidate, from either party, that dared to try and appeal to the great mass of americans somewhere in the middle. setting aside the iraq war for a moment, americans who are serious about fighting the war on terror, who aren't afraid to use un-pc terms like islamic fundamentalism, who believe israel deserves our support by virtue of being the sole democracy in the ME. who accept reasonable restrictions on abortion, the death penalty, and guns. who support gay marriage and are infavor of tax relief/reform. who think stretch pants are a privilege, not a right...
You really are dim. You don't even understand what you yourself say/post, I guess. Only explanation I see, comparing this to your posts from the past year and a half or so.
I think it will be a tight race till the end. The polls targets likely voters, but somehow I feel a lot more people will go out to vote this year. And don't underestimate Kerry. He is a lot stronger than someone thinks. Everyone thought he had no chance beat Howard Dean in primary election. He did it and did it almost overnight. That was impressive. I will just wait and see. Everything could change and only the poll on Nov 2nd matters. If kerry loses, I will be very disappointed, I still have a hard time to figure out why someone will like Bush as a president.
