I can understand why Jalen would be reluctant about Harden returning, because he knows Harden will just control everything.

Plan A should be going hard on moving up to draft Scoot, Harden plan B or C …

My conspiracy theory is that HOU leaking all this to put pressure on Morey cause they are petty...

God I hope this is true. Turning Harden into a trap contract is a pro move.

We should just stick to drafting and picking undrafted and vet players well. Moreyball is best with a very small cap space.

I like the free agent target names I’m reading except Dillon Brooks. Please don’t make me root for Dillon Brooks. Please!

So if we're to believe the current media narrative, the Rockets are planning on signing Harden and drafting a Thompson twin....I think the fact that this makes no sense whatsoever is evidence that MAYBE we're just in lying season.

Really hope Brook Lopez considers signing here. I worry he won't want to play for a non-contender, but you never know. Man might just want to get paid and if we offer him the biggest check, so be it. He would help answer so many of the problems that plagued us this past season and I bet he would have a ton to teach Alpi about playing smart defense when you don't have the quickest feet.

Doesn't make sense unless we're that stupid. This is just a scheme to bid up Morey.

It’s rumors of signing the best FA available and taking the perceived highest upside pick available. Doesn’t feel like lies

So you use both your cap space AND your top draft pick to go after 2 guards on a team where one of your guards was one of the only competent players on the team last season and the other one you wasted a top 3 pick on.

You think it's reasonable to think that the team is really considering moving on from BOTH of their young guards for a coach killer and franchise killer like James Harden and a draft prospect who straight up can't shoot at all....

Do you REALLY think that's reasonable?

Brook Lopez is the answer at center. Then if we sign CP3 at point... phase 2 starts. You have guidance on the floor and with coaching.

Going after Cam Johnson early makes a lot of sense for the Rockets-- forces Brooklyn to make a decision about losing him for nothing or continuing to operate with no cap flexibility.Adding a 3 and D guy (who is a legit shooter) gives more flexiblity to roster construction as well.
