Will somebody please return phone calls! I had to say that. These games are tiresome.

Rockets offer Hakeem somewhere around $4.1 million. Most other teams cannot offer more than 4.5 million without S&T.

CD trying to find money to resign Dream. Shandon is a slasher, not a catch and shoot. Seems to me his problems from last year become next years problem with the new zone defense. I wish we could keep Shandon, but... Walt still under contract, Walt still a better 3-point shooter, Walt still taller and Walt can block some shots.

Offer Dream somewhere around 5 million, but no more than 6 million. I believe he wants to stay with the Rockets, but wants more than 4.5 million.

Sending Shandon down the road will allow the Rockets to re-sign Mo and Moochie...as well as Dream.

Bottom line, I want Hakeem to resign and retire a Rocket.

Hakeem wants to keep team together????? He needs to make a decision. Mo & Moochie will only be so patient. CD will keep future in mind....

If the Rockets up their offer to $6 a year, I think Hakeem will accept, and they still have enough to sign Taylor and Noochie with ease.

As for Shandon, it's a tough decision on whether he can fit in on this team. His play last year was truly pathetic and uninspired. Given that he probably wants $4-5 MIL a year, the best decision is probably to let him go. Terrence Morris should be an upgrade over Shandon.

I bet Mo, Mooch, Bull, and possibly Anderson would patiently wait until October for Hakeem if they had to. I doubt they are as antsy as everyone portrays them to be, Im sure they have contracts waiting, Houston won't resign Olajuwon if it makes signing the before mentioned players (except Bull) impossible. Bullard is probably the only guy without an assured contract, Moochie will not get 4.5mil anywhere, and Anderson is a mystery.

Maurice Taylor; it is time to spell it out. I was talking about his first name. He wasn't supposed to sign with us. Stuff happened, he is a Rocket. Hated being a Clipper, wants to stay a Rocket. He has said he wants to hear from the Rockets. Again I say, Hakeem we are waiting on you?????

I believe Bullard will resign anyway.

From what I have read, the problem is resigning Dream, Talyor, Norris and Shandon.

I will repeat... I wish Shandon can be part of this team, but Walt still taller, Walt still a better shooter and the rookies are still a better option....

Mo won't let all his options run out. Yes he wants to stay in Houston but he definetely won't wait until Houston is his only option (after all the othe rteams have used their cap room up). At some point Mo will take his best offer, probasbly around 6-7 mil/year and say to the Rockets it time to put up or shut up. No matter how much Mo likes Houston he can't take the chance that the Rockets will give Dream big $ and the only $$$ left is the mid-level exception. Money talks and well you know the rest!
Mo & Moochie will be patient until it may start costin ghtem money, then the patience will end.

Haven't all the "major" fa's signed?

    Robinson
    Webber
    Finley
    Houston

    Richmond
    Ewing

This waiting charade needs to end. Dream and his agent have had plenty of time to get themselves together.

I think the reason why they can only sign Dream to 4mill a year is because they have a s$T planned with someone for SHandon.YOu're guess is as good as mine

but if the rockets had sign-and-trade in the works concerning shandon, wouldn't dan fecal [shandon's agent] know something about it?

if shandon is the one the rockets end up saying goodbye to in order to free up money for dream [which I would be all for], then that's just one more reason to say, "way to go, dan fecal! way to look out for your clients."
