I've always thought Brown was overrated. Elite scorer, but terrible A/TO ratio and his defense is extremely overrated. Has he even guarded Jimmy at all? People love him because he's a great scorer on a winning team, but I don't view him as a top 15 player like some do. Top 30 yes. Would still love to have him on the Rockets but would not give up Green for him.
So some posters in this thread want to sell the farm for a 2nd option/3rd option player on a contending team especially after watching his awful series against the Heat? No disrespect to the Heat players, but this All NBA player in Brown is struggling to score again Gabe Vincent and Duncan Robinson. Like you guys still want to build a team around him?

Yep. Im not including players outside of Tate and Garuba or Christopher but #4 and #20 are fine with me. Looks bad this series but is really one if the top 2 way players in the league. Young enough to still not quite be at his ceiling IMO.
Why is this thread still going? It was over when he got all NBA. He's signing that extension and staying in Boston. It was never even a rumor to begin with, just a speculative segment on a podcast.

Harden Green Brown Jabari Alpi Kpj Tari Is a sick nucleus to grow in the future and get more competetive now. Even if you hate Harden you can replace with wiggins or whoever else may be possible to get in free agency.
I don't think the Celtics will give up on Brown. He may not deserve the super max but the Celtics don't have many options available.

We do not need to give up on our young talent, I honestly believe Jalen and Sengun will be STARS in this league. Jabari has a chance to be on the ALL DEFENSE TEAM AND DPOY. Amen can be multi ALL STAR when he establish a shot…..we need veterans
