    Amen Thompson doesn't fit our team at this time, but I expect significant roster changes this offseason. If he's the guy, then great. Right now I'd prefer a better shooter at #4. Or trade out.

    Amen Thompson off the bench could be a good compromise. I would feel a lot more confident in this pick if we hire a dedicated shooting coach with a history of multiple success stories

    I'm trying to think if there was ever a case of a guy publicly saying "don't draft that guy" - I remember Steve Francis suggested the Rockets trade the #1 pick/Yao for Lamar Odom.

    LIke, maybe Christian Laetner or somebody everybody hated had this happen, but tehre was no social media back then.

    Amen Thompson is one year away but he can play 20+ minutes off the bench, we would get use of the speed and physicality of the NBA, and work on his shot. When I see Amen play I see LaMelo Ball, they both have the length, vision, the feel for the game and passing….big difference between the two guys is SHOOTING. Amen has a chance to be a top player in the league depending on his shooting

    His handle is fine - he is already a good defender, a very good passer, hard worker..... fits a position of need, also is a perfect defensive complement for Jalen Green.

    Yeah, that doesn't win you many games. #1 most over-hyped metric = athleticism. Dunk contests and highlight videos would be great, though.

    If Thompson can be a high level defender, then a Thompson/Green/KPJ lineup 1-3 is really interesting to me.
