Sam Mitchell blasting Fauden right now on NBA radio. Every point he's making is 100% legit. He's half the player he was. He's all about himself. Period.
Mitchell was asked if it's a good idea to bring in Harden in Houston... Mitchell: James stuck in his ways. Harden isn't gonna play a motion offense. Gonna butt heads with Udoka. Not a good fit with the young guys unless they want to fly out to Vegas on game nights.
Lol @ guys who couldn't carry a busted hungover Harden's jock one millimeter in their prime making their paychecks by... going on TV and complaining about him, just relentlessly ad nauseam NBA take culture is so toxic these days. Not just with respect to Harden but with regard to everyone. Harden unleashed 2 god like must win playoff games in 6 days, he's on top of the world, the next week he's trash. Tatum then takes the crown by having 5 good periods in a row that quite literally saves Boston's season and puts Embiid, Harden and Doc in the dumpster - now he's denounced as a choking choke head. On and on the cycle of hate goes. Exhausting
All this talk about Hardhead makes me think the Rockets are trying to screw Udoka out of another job.
Well, Udoka literally screwed himself out of the first job. That Jake Fischer report makes me believe Udoka knew the Rockets planned to pursue Harden so he knew exactly what he was getting into by taking this job.
Everyone knows the Rockets planned to pursue Harden- hardly a secret. I know there's collective amnesia here since he's now Our Guy but Ime Udoka is about six months removed from being too toxic for most NBA teams to even think about - he was not exactly driving the leverage truck around all year.
Preach! It's fuucking pathetic. Its always over the top extreme analysis to try and get attention. With the internet and media of today, you either be over the top or be forgot. No one can accept any player for their greatneas and their faults. No matter the player. LeBron geta rediculed for not being perfect in the finals appearances. Its absurd.
Remember what, that NBA takesters and social media in general amplify negative energy and besmirch everyone and everything in the almighty name of traffic, to fill the emptiness inside? I fear i'll not need a reminder, thank you very much
This is what we need for our guys, not Harden. We have very young talent and we have players who are projected to be way more than just role players. Give me guys with attitude and defense intensity around Green/Smith and get the most out of them. Trade up for Scoot even if you need to overpay, sign Bev, Grant, or get a guy like Caruso while Bulls blow it up, hell I'd even take Draymond over Harden if he would be willing (not likely). Use the cap space to take on Lowry for 1 season if you can't get those pgs -- Heat need the cap relief. Long term that'll do more for Green than having Harden on the team. Green needs the most improvement on his defense and efficiency and no doubt these guys would be on his ass every single day along with Ime and Smith. People wanted to avoid tanking for culture reasons, but then want to bring in Harden...
Ime was a assistant coach at Brooklyn and they seem to have a nice relationship....before a contract is signed there must be stipulations....no Las Vegas trips or no isolated offense
There's also Pompey's article from yesterday that confirmed that coaches were asked about their opinion on coaching James Harden.
It is sort of funny because the city where Harden plays. Lowry and Kobe grew up in that city, the city breeds dogs. I can see the street life of Chicago. John Wall talking about Raleigh, North Carolina....
I don't find any logic in bringing Harden back. Can Harden and Udoka coexist? Is Harden a good example for young players? Is Harden a positive leader? All questions are answered with the same two-letter word... NO! Harden left Houston arguing that he couldn't win and now he's going to surround himself with a group of young people who average 20 wins per season? Houston, we have a problem!
20 win team with a Nix and his 5 PER getting major minutes. Bruno Fernando starting over sengun. Removing Silas and having Green & Sengun going into year 3 instantly makes team significantly better. If harden can play more of a Jamaal Murray role with Sengun, I would sign him in a heart beat.
