GM Stone do not draft Brandon Miller!

Does It Matter What I Think?

 

I don't want another rookie shooter that struggles to shoot.

We are bad enough at setting up shots already, having one Jabari is enough. What you gonna do with Miller when he clanks all his 3's due to NBA adjustment

 

I didn't mean a shooter who struggles to shoot though so it won't make sense to you from that lens.

I don't think it would be an outright shock if he's available at 4.

Jabari will be 1st team All Defense for years. Miller will play average defense at best.

This is stupid AF. Miller is awesome and maybe better than anyone currently on the roster...

I do like some of the other prospects though.

 

Just guesses on my part.
Stone likes to go for high potential upside.
I can see him choosing Amen Thompson ( the passing version of Jalen Green) vs Brandon Miller ( the SF version of Jabari Smith).
I wouldn't be surprised if Stone selects 18 year Whitmore over Amen either. I don't think he will select a safe Jarace Walker or an athletic 3 and D player in Hendricks either. Dark horses could be Anthony Black ( safer than Amen as a PG) and Ausar Thompson ( a secondary passer who can be an athletic jack of all trades).

PS: Don't forget the Tilman and Patrick factor. They probably will want a swing at a potential star without realizing what's best for the team.

PPS: Udoka might want Stone to bypass Amen ( no jumper) and Whitmore ( no passing), leading to some conflict. The compromise candidate could be Ausar with his quick twitch lateral movement.
