We need those mf'ers from the Heat or Spurs organization that have that structured off-season development ****. No more Lucas hanging on our players waist when they shoot bullshit in the middle of the season. Or Silas cheat sheet of 5 wind sprints. We make players get worse.
I like it. I would still retain Lucas and Abdelfatteh. Get a really good shooting coach and hire a sports psychologist too. Jabari can really benefit from one.

Royal Ivey is a solid addition. He will help with player development and also recruiting. He is very well liked around the league and known as positive and upbeat. They are facing really stiff competition, but I really hope they convince Will Weaver to come back. He was really instrumental in helping Jalen Green improve the second half of his rookie year- then Silas publicly took credit for it and that supposedly rubbed a few Rockets assistants that left town at the end of the 2021-2022 season. Weaver has Milwaukee, New Jersey, Sacramento, San Antonio all after him and Houston too.
He played at UT back when I cared about college bball. He was a good defender. Not great at anything else. But a likeable player. He has a great name though. 10/10. Good job, Mr and Mrs Ivey.
My sister used to give Royal Ivey and James Thomas a ride to the Austin Zoo a couple times a week for one summer(they're both Longhorns and this is in Austin). They used to talk about what her farts would sound like. (My sister is about 5 feet tall, 5'1 on a warm day) She had a little 1995 Honda Accord and leg room was definitely a big issue. Especially for James Thomas. Anyway, my sister had good things to say about Royal. Both guys actually but I'm super happy about this hire. Great move by Ime.
Rumor has it KD wanted Ivey to be the UT head coach. All the Texas alums in the NBA or (recently retired) like him a lot. Edit: Ivey is also the head coach for the South Sudan national team. Previous coaching stops: OK City, Knicks, and Nets.
