He was a hard-nosed defensive player in college and the pros so I would imagine him coaching on the defensive side.
Now to add Ben Sullivan Derrick White continues to improve “Just go back to the basics. Try to work on not being flat, using my legs, trying to stay in the gym, and being consistent with my shot...Ben (Sullivan) was in San Antonio, so he knows a lot of the stuff I liked to do back then, and I like the stuff we’ve been working on...Higher release point, staying in it, a lot of the stuff you did when you were a kid. A lot of the time I lean back, so just trying to stay in it,” White said back in September."
Don't know anything about him, but I am glad to see movement on the coaching vacancy front. The process is taking longer than I expected. I figured he had some strong candidates in mind way back when he was on the plane to Houston before he was ever interviewed. Theoretical thoughts of course. I suppose he wanted to familiarize himself with the teams existing staff first before making final decisions. Maybe the next announcements will come quickly and in bunches.
Player development. Fits Udoka's description of the type of coaching staff he wants "high energy, hands on, relationship based."
