Well there is rumor Caruso x Tate or Kenyon.

Chicago wanted 2 first round picks at the deadline.

I would like to combines Patrick Williams who is a beast, 2-way player
that can shot over 40% from 3 on 3 attempts per game. If you see the
form it's good, unlike Kenyon which has a set shot or push shot
that he can only bring out if open.

Caruso is 29 with two years of contract control and first team
All Defense who shot 36% from 3. Gives a few 3's and gives
you a few assists while playing top notch defense on point.
6'4" to 6'5"-ish. When either KPj or Green can't handle
    the defensive assignment.....in steps Caruso.
    --------------------

So why so many players? Because the Rockets don't have a
30-man roster like many here think. We have to use a
trade or two to clear roster space. Bulls have a high
payroll and the Rockets do not......so actually I had more
    in the deal (Kenyon).

Kenyon 3-ball shooting will always be suspect with that form.
I love his 18 points by running no plays but I have to use his
value in a trade to make room for all these wings.

Tate same way. Tate is just a 6'4" Ben Simmons. Not the defender,
or passer but more confident in his shot.....by a little.

Josh Christopher......non shooting, tunnel vision poor passing
shooting guard. I strip him of the title as combo guard because
he is not a combo guard. Just a guard that shoots poorly.
    _____________
    Here's the Big Deal.

Harden wants $50M of our $60M cap space. I say know and keep it
within the team and chase FA's.

    Money of Tate/JC/TyTy/Garuba <--> P Williams/Caruso ($18M together)

Then Cam Johnson (RFA) probably an offer around $20M of our
$60M cap space (minus and excess from PW/Caruso salary add-on)

We would still have room to pursue more free agents. Had us going
after Jeremi Grant and his 40% from 3.......but too many Wings. And
somebody called me out on it without Jeremi Grant.

So money would be available for back up SG or Center. Is there a
Collins or Zeller out there? The Roster is constructed as multiple
players playing multiple positions. That's why I list 10......with
room for more.....fill in any gaps. As you can see I have approximately
$20M-$30M to spend after signing Cam Johnson. But who else can
we overpay? Look at the list of FA's.

*Side Note: Because Kenyon will be mad as he becomes 3rd string....
as Cam Johnson and Patrick Williams or Tari battle it out as to
who starts and who is second string, I have KMj traded by Dec 15th.
    -------------
    We are talking adding
    Cam Johnson 40% (3P%)
    P Williams 40% (3P%)
    Caruso 36% (3P%)
while subbing out Tate/Kenyon sub par 3-pt shooting

Many here look at our roster as full of gold nuggets when in actuality it is
    really a pooh-pooh platter.

We get some of that perceived value for Amen.
    Then, take Walker @ #6.

    #11 becomes ammo...

I’d do this trade all day. Not sure if they would though.

If there's any team that needs to shake things up, it's Chicago. I wouldn't mind seeing what the two teams can come up with.

    You don't deal the pick.

You draft Timelord with a three-ball, Taylor Hendricks...

    Jabari+Hendricks+Sengun will dominate the league!

I don't see any great fits for us on the Chicago roster. Caruso is a nice defensive player but not worth serious assets.

We could consider trying to sign Vucevic or Drummond in free agency to shore up the frontcourt rotation, but we don't need to trade with Chicago to do that.

Sengun #4 and another young player for Lamelo? Charlotte replaces Melo with Scoot at 3 and gets Amen back to back

You rather give up sengun for a player who hasn't played in 2 years?

Not saying I want him, but I think you're mixing up LaMelo with Lonzo. LaMelo played this season (and last season).

LaVine would be ideal. We need a 3 and he’s a solid 3 pt shooter. There were rumors he was unhappy or the team was with him this season.

Fair enough but he also missed like 50 games, 15 games and ,30 games first 3 years..he might be prone too, I think I would trade anything for him not too overpriced and not sengun green jabari

I think it’s a pretty good trade and worth pursuing. If we can’t get Patrick Williams I would still pursue Carusso, but wouldn’t include the 4th pick. If Chicago requires a pick for Caruso then maybe the 20th and KJM gets it done. They asked for 2 frp’s last year, but didn’t get it. These teams will always ask for the moon at the deadline, hoping someone will be desperate (see Eric Gordon).

I agree. Bulls asked for too much at trade deadline.

Garuba was a First Rd pick
TyTy was a First Rd pick
Josh Christopher was a First Rd pick

Bulls may see potential as they are in the developmental stages.

Many are calling for the Bulls to blow it up and rebuild. So I think
a deal could be worked there.

The #4 pick in a strong draft for the 4th and 5th best players on another bad team? Neither of whom are top ~100 players in the NBA?

When we have $65M in cap space to sign the same standard of player for free?

    ??

Nobody is going to give the Rockets anything

Wemby was suppose to bring in Harden at a discount....

Harden was suppose to take a discount so the Rockets could bring other FA's....
Not eat up the whole pie

We got neither....or will get neither. People/players don't want to go
to Houston, sorry if it hurts your feelings. Udoka- is the only thing going
for us....and that comes with stains.

If you think players are t going to ask for top dollar in free agency,
you might be mistaken. VanVleet will be opting out of $22M.
He will probably want Brunson money of $27M if it's Houston.
KPj numbers were better than VanVleet for most of the
    season.

See how one player can eat into the $65M cap? Middleton?

Doesn’t move the needle. Good/average players out. Good to average players in. Rather wait and shoot for difference maker type player. They have the assets/picks they should only use it towards acquiring a star. Otherwise they shouldn’t just throw it away to do something.

    Get use to disappointment.....every player
and agent knows we have $62M in cap space.
They will want us to pay $5M to $10M more
    than the next team.

Rockets will have to walk away from most free agents or overpay. Our pick goes to the Thunder
more than likely.....so get use to mediocrity.
A huge jump from 20 wins to 26 wins by holding
on to trash that don't space the floor.

Free agent list is pretty thin
