They should only select players from non play-off teams who had plenty of rest and something to prove.

Guys like Duncan should stay home.... Coz frankly with him in the team I don't think team USA is gonna lose.

Our "great" president told us to continue living our lives in spite of the terrorists, if you don't practice sarcasm daily, the terrorists win!

I rarely agree with you ,but thank you for noting this.

For many athletes, the Olympics is the peak of their careers. Yes, yes... they labor and sweat for their moment of glory for which they don't get paid. But they're unfortunate enough to play in sports which don't pay well. And if they do well, they'll be delighted to get endorsements.

The Olympics isn't the pinacle of basketball achievement, as it is for many athletes. No, that's the NBA finals. We're talking about a tournament which damages your performance in the upcoming season... and isn't of as high of quality.

If you really want a national basketball competition... create one just for basketball, and re-arrange the NBA season slightly when it comes once every 4 years.

Aren't you basically talking about the World Championships.

Nah, I'm not ashamed of them. I mean its their gold medal to lose. I am proud of the ones that decided to go, even with all of the security talk (esp. Duncan and AI for having gone before and wanting to do so again).

Maybe T-Mac knew he would be busy moving?
Maybe he's coming off a season ending injury?
    Ever think of that?
