Nothing earth shattering. Berman said on his Sports Report, that contrary to other reports, Knicks officials did NOT come to meet with Hakeem Olajuwon today. And here something new: neither Fegan, nor Olajuwon were available to comment. And the posturing and misinformation continues.... ------------------ "I always thought Hakeem was the better offensive player and DRob the better defender." Spurever Shaq would probably agree.
According to the Chronicle, the Knicks had a conference call with Hakeem's group today, instead of flying down. They know they are a long shot! ------------------
Yeah...NY sports talk radio said that the Knicks realize that they have pretty much no shot of getting him so they called to see if he would even consider playing there if a S&T was worked out or if it was attractive enough to play in the Big Apple for a million. Something to that effect. They did not say what Dream's response was although I assume it was nothing significant ------------------ So I jump ship in Hong Kong and I make my way over to Tibet and I get on as a looper at a course over there in the Himalayas. So I tell em I'm a pro jock and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama himself. The 12th son of the Lama. The flowing robes. The grace. Bald. Striking.--Carl Spackler
How did you like Bullards response when Berman interviewed him before the Comets game. Basically, Bullard saying, I wish dream would hurry up and make up his freakin' mind.
Hakeem and agent actually answered the call? No one has actually talked to them over the phone! Just because of that I think the Knicks are the frontrunners. ------------------
actually i thought it was jeremy foster who asked him the question.. did mark ask him also? ------------------ Shane "Save Our Rockets" "Life without basketball in Houston........without an arena that is what it will be"
