It's very much a gamble after Wemby and Scoot. I personally think most of the 4-15 kids will straight up flop or fail to reach the expectations and think about it everyone hypes up different kid which tells you all you need to know about 2023 draft. It might be too risky to draft anyone with our pick. It's a huge gamble. I say we should trade our pick and some picks for a Jaylen or like dude or just try to move up if we can and Hornets and Portland doesn't seem to need Scoot so there's a small change he might fall to 4th.
Yup, there's physicals and there's basketball physicals. Having abs means little in getting ball into the rim. There's people on this board who probably have better FT% than Amen. Indicator of future shooting ability or not, ~65% is not good and he's not even a big. It's not just the number is bad; scouts are concerned on his form. His brother seems to have made progress changing the form. As soon as Amen get in the NBA, his athleticism becomes leveled off, because other people in the NBA are just as athletic. Then, Amen has to start falling back to skills like shooting. If Ime wants shooters, and depending how patient Tilman still has to be for phase 2; Amen (as a project) is not for us.
I am not even mad. It is easy to forget that last year half the board wanted first pick to draft Jabari/Chet as can't miss prospects and look at them now (I still got hope for Jabari). Sure, Wemby seems amazing, but his height puts him exactly in between Yao and Ralph and after witnessing Yao/Tmac era I do not have an appetite for the encore. After Wemby it becomes a crapshoot and I would not be surprised if Scoot or Miller slide to us. Anyway I do not think I will study prospects much or hype myself for one of them before the draft.this year. Last year I was excited about Paolo and it never happened, so this time I will wait and see who we get.
After sleeping on this for a night, it still sucks. Hopefully Green or Smith take a huge leap this upcoming season.
Tilman has about zero patience - he handed Udoka millions of dollars even though he was in the timeout chair and untouchable by half the league. He's not going to shut up & listen to another 20-something win **** fest. He and the PatFael brain trust will cook up some move, be it Harden or worse. Im confident in that. Am i confident it will work? Hahaha. Past performance points to no.
Will Bronny be available at #20? Because it looks like LeBron can play at a high level for several more years. And Bronny looks like he can knock down open 3s better than anyone on our roster. For the love of basketball, Stone better not draft any non-shooters.
This absolutely sucks....and this team will suck yet again unless they are able to swing a trade a superstar. That's the only way they will get out of this because the draft has not helped, nor will it help.
Not many good FA's available either. Imo, this is a 2 man draft. VW and SH. BM is a tier below them. The rest can't be safely projected as future stars. Amen can't shoot and his brother Ausar is a much better defender than him. The 4th pick is only valuable if someone really believes in him or some other youngster. Woe is us.
