Same as mine with Hendricks at 6. Jarace is the safest player, Cam and Hendricks have some upside in them. None of them are superstars though. Perhaps there will be a trade if the Rockets fall to 3 or 4. I think that is likely to occur.

I’d be very disappointed if we traded the pick and passed on an opportunity to draft Scoot or Amen at #3. Those guys have a chance to be franchise changing players.

If Scoot falls to 3, Stone must grab and retain him at all costs. I'm not so sure about Amen Thompson though. There is no doubt that he's talented. His weak jumper and OTE competition are somewhat concerning.

Is this class weak after Wemby, or is he just skewing my perception of things? It feels like it's Wemby or bust to me but I am not up on most prospects out there.

Scoot is going to go #2 whether by the team picking there or a team trading there. Drafting Miller over him is like drafting Bagley over Luka.

That's what the draft industrial complex dudes say, but literally what do they know?

Maybe, but drafting a PG who can't shoot better than 27.5% in the G league while being a turnover machine against that super weak competition isn't exactly a home run.

I know people are caught up in the hype again....just like every season, but this is kind of a Jaden Ivey in a MUCH weaker draft.

Right I don’t want to trade the pick at all unless we trade up.

Dumb post.... He's a good FT shooter and got a money mid-range game... far chance he will improve from 3 as he gets more attempts.... The playmaking, athleticism, shot creation, and intangibles are all there.... If we have the #2 pick we better draft him.

A lot of people think Scoot (besides wemby) is the best prospect in years.

    1. Wemby - best prospect since LeBron
    2. Scoot - best point guard prospect in years, definitely better than Cade, at least as good as Ja Morant
    3. Amen - among the best raw athletes to ever enter the draft, insane combination of physical tools

Wemby would go #1 in basically any draft class, if you time warped him back to 2003 he might even go #1 over LeBron. Scoot would go #1 in the majority of drafts. If you compare them as prospects, he's behind guys like Zion and Anthony Davis, but ahead of your Cade Cunningham, Paolo Banchero level prospects. Amen, I could easily see going #1 in weak draft classes like 2013.

Then, as you go down the list, you find guys like Cam Whitmore who probably won't go in the top 4 but is still a fantastic prospect with legitimate superstar upside. Or Brandon Miller, who I'm not super high on personally, but I can't deny he is damn near a lock to be a very good starter in the NBA. Or Jarace Walker and Taylor Hendricks, who have DPOY kind of potential at the 4 spot and excellent offensive tools that give them two-way all-star potential.

It's a great, great draft. Don't listen to the cynics.

    This is a good analysis.

That said, I’m still Wemby/Scoot or trade.

I agree. I really think this is a deep draft! The top 6 is very solid. I want Wemby but even taking Ausar or Cam at 6 gives you a big time prospect.
