I'm happy that Maldy got a hit and a RBI tonight but just curious why Dusty had him catch over Yanier when Yanier was France's catcher in the minors and caught his 1st game.... I figured Dusty would do Maldy for Framber, Javier and I guess Bielak now and then Yanier over for Brown and France due to familiarity. He's really limiting playing time for Yanier for some reason. Is it really just loyalty to Maldy?
What a great start by JP! He was awesome tonight except for the 3-1 challenge fastball. Now please don’t put Montero out there in the 8th to protect the 3 run lead! Or hopefully they just blow it open this inning.
Maldy is on fire. He’s going to be batting .200 in another week or so. And that homer off of Ohtani bought him some leeway in my book.
I hope Bregman hits a hr. I assume the pitcher feels the same way towards Bregman as he does towards Correa.

It certainly doesn’t help when the ump calls an obvious ball strike 1. Breggy has had some bad luck with this ump tonight. He’ll come around. This is by far the worst called game I have seen this season. At least he’s consistently terrible for both teams.
