Trading all your youth and bench for stars doesn’t always payoff either. I hope the Rockets don’t mess around and do something like this.
Going to be fun watching the Suns go hard after Kyrie this summer. Not sure how it's even going to work out with the new CBA in place, but I would imagine the owner will not be patient.
I like this Nuggets team and Jokic looks like Ed O’Neil as he’s big and plodding but plays so well. even if I didn’t like this team I would still root for them in the next round. I really don’t want to see either GS or the Lakers going to the finals again.
The Suns first gambled by signing the aging CP3 to a big contract. Then they gambled again to trade good players, depth, and assets for the aging Durant. And they lost. Are they going to bet on Durant's and CP3's healthy and run it back?
Do you think Jabari's peak might be MPJ? Jabari can't create his own shot just like MPJ can't and they are both limited on the ball, both have good middies and they pretty much suck monkey ass in every other areas (obviously i'm exaggerating) You think about that.
if Boston had not gone on a 14-2 run last night in the 4th, you could imagine some mega-Suns-Celts shakeup but seems less likely now.
They can trade Durant and get back some depth. My guess is, they will probably just scapegoat Monty Williams for their failure.
If they're really going to trade CP and Ayton, is KD unhappy again just with Booker alone-they clearly weren't good enough of a duo to beat Denver..sooo? Doubt they get much depth in return. KD should ask for a trade to the Nuggets.
At the end of the day it's a team sport. You need a good team even if you have superstars. I think a whole generation of stars watched Lebron in Miami and thought you could just throw some guys together and win. The truth is, everybody's not Lebron. And, I don't mean that from a greatness perspective, I mean he has been more malleable. At different times he's played 1-4 for entire seasons. These other guys want to team up with people that do the same thing. But, I do think they can get the right fit around Booker and KD. But, at KDs age they may only have a couple more runs at contending.
They were extremely top heavy, but the Suns, on paper, are a really good team. HoF PG, though aging, who has complete command and respect of an entire team? Check. Two of the best bucket-getters in the game? Check. An extremely solid big man who can defend and actually score the basketball? Check. Shamet, Payne and Warren aren't exactly scrubs. Landale and Biyombo are perfectly serviceable backup bigs. The Suns went 8-0 after acquiring Durant, had a gentleman's sweep against the Clippers and then lost 4-2 to Denver. With Durant in the lineup, they were, statistically, 14-5. With a healthy CP3, an engaged Ayton, some depth (better facilitator at PG than Payne, etc) and this Suns team can run it back, in my opinion.
