Make 'em see stars?! Hope that doesn't get us a other Bountygate... Horns would solve my biggest issue with the current helmet, the mirrored/flipped logo.
I'm fine with the star on the helmet IF it tickets off the Cowboys and their fans. I don't especially care for it, but if it upsets them, I'm all for keeping it.
"You'll have your blue, your white and ... you know ... the other," Hannah said, careful not to reveal what the other color might be. The earliest the Texans could debut any sort of redesign is 2024 because changes require the NFL's approval. Hannah alluded to some issues the team's redesign ran into as it worked with the NFL, although she didn't specifically mention the Titans. "We’re trying to meet all the deadlines," said Hannah, referring to the NFL's approval. "We did get paused there for a minute with the NFL. We had to renegotiate some things, but we’ll get through it and I hope the fan base will be really happy." The uniform changes, which will come after getting feedback from fans about what they want to see, will be the first in franchise history, besides the occasional alternate uniform, including the battle red helmet, which debuted last season. "It is a little bit more exciting because it is your first time, so you really want to get it right," Hannah said. "You really want to excite the fan base. You also want the players to be excited about what they’re going to be wearing out on the field, so we’ll try to capture all of that."
What are we going to do about these uniforms? I want to capture the spirit of Sacramento Kings Power Dancers circa 2009 and Rockets oops I did it again vibes.
Not the H-Town, but definitely the Old English “H” logo. It’s designed to look like the number 11 representing the 11 players on the field, with the H for Houston being the 12th man. I like the logo, it’s a lot simpler and cleaner than the over-designed HT secondary logo they’ve had.
Those jackets are absolutely gorgeous. I never understood all the hate. The premise was flawed but the product is fire
The problem wasn't the quality of the lettermen jackets, it was the misplaced pride/arrogance of winning some regular season games and thinking we were the shizz... when in reality we weren't good enough to be doing stunts like that and we got our azzes handed to us. Stay humble/stay hungry was jettisoned for puffing out our chests with misplaced overconfidence. We fell into a classic psychological trap... that good coaches and good player-leaders try to avoid.
Can't remember which video it was, but I thought DeMeco let it slip that the 3rd color was "gray". Since I love gray maybe it was me wishing it true or at my age I could just be hearing things. Anyone else catch that?
