Okay, but can Harden do this when he’s 37 and making 50m a year? It’s a 2 year deal or no deal imo

When people start suggesting to sign KPJ for 4 years 205 mil, then we can have that talk, it's just ignorant screeching by you till then.

Signing an aging, declining Harden to that kind of deal handicaps the team even if he doesn't decide to intentionally sabotage the team AGAIN.

That said, it makes sense that you'd support something like that.

They are 2 guards. If you are signing a 2 guard who isn't a heliocentric type, what does that say about Green?

They are good players, I just don't think they fit here unless you are moving on from Green. You aren't going to run your offense thru either of them as the primary ball handler / distributor and because of that, they don't really fit with Green.

Josh hart. You move hart to the three spot. He can play the Tucker roll with way better rebounding, passing and offensive ability

Is it an absolute given that if Harden comes back, it's going to be to some type of supermax deal?? He willingly took a paycut so the Sixers could go out and get PJ and House. Why are we automatically assuming he wouldn't take some type of a discount to come back here as well? I agree that signing an aging 33 year old James Harden to a $45M/year deal is simply bad business, but I'd be ecstatic if he was willing to come back on something like a 3 year/$85M deal. That still gives us financial flexibility while signing someone who is easily the most impactful FA in this upcoming market.

Harden is the best pg , but his defensive position isn’t PG and he will definitely not be giving max effort on both ends during the regular season … to put it lightly

If green can guard opposing 1’s maybe you do it . 3-way guard tandem with one of kpj or jalen going to the bench .

I don’t really believe in kpj or green that much . Our offense should be good with harden tho . Our frontcourt could be a strong suit . Jabari , tari . Sengun would have to change his role a bit imo .

harden is still great but what direction does the team take around him ?

could you get harden , but low on a great player , and trade for a 3rd guy while drafting high ?

I think harden is gonna stay with Philly btw .

We're talking present, RIGHT NOW, not before Silver cancelled his foul baiting ways and still laid eggs

If he comes back he'll come back for cheap. He's made all of the money he needs to and might feel like he has unfinished business here. Signing Harden, drafting Scoot and getting a real rim runner and this team will be relevant for over a decade.

Imagine having Harden and then having Scoot run the second unit while he learns the ropes.

Right now he is having a series with possibly his best two playoff games of his career against the best defensive team in the league

It would be kind of silly to not let Scoot start right away IMO. He's ready. If we do end up with Scoot, I hope they'll pass on Harden.

I am ok with Harden returning or not, but after watching these games I really do not think Tilman should let Travis Scott back into the building. He obviously is a fair weather and Harden only fan. If you want to go to a game and support James thats fine, but rocking Sixers gear and going crazy courtside is ridiculous for someone who claims the city of Houston.

I still don't see why Harden would join this team and leave maxey , Embiid. Morey can offer Harden a contract and they might could trade Harris + picks for someone that could get them past Boston or sign better free agents.

That's to say if Celtics close them out, harden just has better chance around that sixers team He could even sign for cheap for them to sign better players. Not like Harden needs that money,

Id rather have few rings it might not come here as him being mentor for rockets on all inexperienced team like this.

Travis Scott was the ball boy for the Houston Rockets as a kid he was born and raised in Houston and has repped Houston his entire life he just gave the Astros players a gift of his newest Nike / JB sneakers a couple of days ago with personalized note, he has gone to tons of Astros games, he literally had a concert at Toyota Center in the parking lot and no one came when he was first getting started, because he was a nobody at the time. Have you ever heard one of his songs? He talks about Houston on every album and references houston on nearly every song, his album was called Astroworld, he bought the naming rights to Astroworld and had an annual festival on Astroworld grounds. You are confused, lil baby is not who I am thinking of. The only philly rapper that Harden associated with and was convincing him to come play w the 76ers was Meek Mill.

Travis Scott is the biggest revenue generating artist of any genre to come out of Houston ever (thanks to Kylie Jenner and Nike). He is the only artist that is relevant who still reps Houston on a regular basis, Beyonce has disassociated mostly. If you don't know that you are not a Houstonian. Lil baby is from Atlanta, he also says this on every track lol.

I think the Rockets may have even worked something out for him to even perform outside of Toyota center when he was still making a name for himself, since he had ties to the team. This is why I think he is a bit of a sell out rocking that sixers jersey like that. The fact that he is gifting Astros players stuff as recently as a couple of days ago just means he is a fair weather fan.

Travis Scott been a fair weather fan for years…since Harden left, the only time u see him within a 10 block radius of Toyota Center is when the Nets or Sixers came to town

I’m okay with bringing back Harden on a short-term deal, but I can also see the argument for FVV. Younger, will cost less, good 2-way player, champion - good leader for our young guys. Regardless, we need a point guard out of free agency if we are not drafting Scoot or trading for one. I don’t see any other viable options beyond Harden or FVV.

Harden turned out to be a Rodman kind of guy but with nostalgia.

His decisions are unfathomable and surely he changes his mind quite a lot during the years.

The Cetlics are surely hell bent on their read and react system but in the Playoffs, Tatum and Brown have to score 30+ consistently and not let Brogdon, Smart or Derrick White partake in a good amount of Offense.

Mazzulla cannot treat the Playoffs like the regular season and with the Celtics having the better overall team.

He could still have turned around one of those 2 losses easily.
