Is there a software or a price guide that will track your collection online so that you don't have to do any work? Or a software that will easily track price changes? I'm tired of using an excel spreahsheet to track the prices. Thanks in advance.

Beckett has a online guide where you put your cards in and it will keep your "investment" (I say this as another collector) up to date. You do have to pay them an annual fee, though I don't remember what it is. The bad thing is that they don't have every card listed. It seems that a lot of the older inserts aren't in there but all the regular and most of the newer inserts (relics/autos,etc) are listed.

Don't know yet, I need to get into that Beckett price guide thing! Just kidding, my most valuable cards are probably

Michael Jordan UD Master Auto (1996?): Hope about $1,000
Michael Jordan Shoe/Jersey Auto (1996?): Hope about $900

My best Houston Card is probably
    UD Ryan/Seaver auto: Maybe $150

I've probably overestimated the value, and will only be dissapointed to look for real, but those are at or near the top of my list.

I tried putting them all into excel two weeks ago and quit! That was way too much work.

I used to use the online Beckett thingy back when it was free. I have no idea of the value of my cards. Last time I looked the 1973 rookie 3rd baseman National League (Mike Schmidt) was one of my more valuable ones.

I'm sure all my Nolan Ryan cards have gone up since I last checked. Don't have his rookie unfortunately.

Game used cards didn't come aound until 97-98 and I think shoes came out a year or two later.

The latest Beckett I have is a March 2003 (With Yao on the cover). List the Actual Year, Set Name, Card Number (if one) and I'll tell you what it says.

UD MJ autos are about $1000 and a MJ shoe, jersey and auto are more.

They were UD 2000. One is called UD materials (Shoe/jersey) and the other is called Master Collection. I have to go look at the numbers, but I think they are MJ.....

Becketts is probably the best way to see what your cards are worth IMO.

Is anyone on here in the card biz? I have a full set of Star '85 hoops ...Jordan, Barkley, Dream rookies that i would sell

If it is the 1984-85 Star the entire set in mint condition is worth about 5000, while the 1985-86 Star is more like 1500.

Upper Deck releases close to (if not more) than 10 sets a year..Upper Deck.. Upper Deck MVP...Upper Deck Pros and Prospects...

Also cards are refered to the season they were produced for, meaning the 2004-2005 season rather than just 2004.

What I was able to find, maybe not your cards:
2000-01 Upper Deck MJ Materials, MJ15, shorts and shoes, $400
(in the origional post you said that it was signed, but in the latter you didn't mention that)

The other card I can not find, but it can be anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand. It depends on a wide array of factors including the set, the quantity made, and the year made.

Thanks for the attemp. I'll try to look em up later. The materials is definately signed, shoes and warm up. I also have the same one with kobe sig (shoes and warm up) but I don't even want that card anymore. Kobe is a cheater. I know they make a KG card just like it too. I tired to get it and failed. Upper Deck isn't going to make this easy for me I can tell. I did notice a lot of times in the magazine (about 4 years ago) they didn't even price Jordan signature for some reason. They just put .... which really torqued me off.

The reason for not listing the price is because most of the time that card is extremely rare, having a run of less than 50, and added that it is a player like MJ the card's value is hard to define, without an auction.

    Can't afford it...

Good luck selling it, I don't think that you could even get a grand for it on eBay.

My worst dissapointments are listed below. I thought these cards were so cool as a kid, and I worked like the devil to get them via trades, and the truth is I still like em, but they aren't worth anything to anyone.

-Kellog 3-D Nolan Ryan. IS isn't worth anything.
-SportFlics. Whole set like 5$. Collected 'em every year.
    -Will Clark Topps traded rookie
    -Canseco Topps traded rookie
-Tiger Woods Rookie bought for $100 and worth like $10 now.
-All the Astros opening day donruss. I gave up the house for these orange cards and they have no value to me at all.

The Worst Trade I ever made was giving up the Fleer Karl Malone Rookie for Xavier McDaniel. I got raked on that deal.

I still remember the day I bought the Olajuwon Star Rookie. $9. I saved up for like three weeks to get that thing. Best purchase of my boyhood. Still have it in my living room.

I have a couple of Fleer 86-87 Jordan Rookie cards. When I was in college in 1989, my room mate was into baseball cards. I went to the card shop with him a few times.

I do not like baseball all that much so I bought some basketball cards. The packs were about $2 each. I wanted an Olajuwon rookie. I kept buying cards and not getting the Olajuwon. I finally gave up, but ended up with 2 Jordans. I looked it up several years ago and the cards were worth about $1000 each.

That same card shop also had a complete set of 1980 basketball cards. I looked through them for the Bird and Magic, but someone had already bought them. I ask them manager about it and he said a guy just bought them a week earlier for $10. I was pissed I missed out on that deal.

Agent - Nice pulls. They don't get much better than that. That is one card (in your case 2) I'd get graded from PSA or Beckett (BGS not BCCG). It would help protect the cards and if you ever did decide to sell it, it would fetch way more money since it assures that the card is real (it's the most counterfeited card out there) and it's condition. I have a friend that has a sealed case of Fleer 1986-87. I don't know how he's survived all these years, not had a weak moment and go pack busting through it. Too bad on you not being able to scoop up that 80 set.

PhiSlammaJamma - The Kelloggs card depends on the year but has some minor value.

The Canseco card - ouch. I looked at buying 1 when he was hot and the shop wanted $125 (pre-ebay days). Too rich for my blood so I plopped down $12 for a Cecil Fielder RC. Best card shop purchase I ever made - only lost $12 not $125.

I also collected the Sportsflix. I thought they be more valuable since they didn't make a gagillion of them like the other brands. Plus it was like a mini movie card. Too sweet! I keep holding on to them - keep hoping that 1 day people will see the light - hehe. I don't think they'll make my next move though. My picks never seem to pan out. Same with my stock picks. I'd make more money in a .1% MM.

Your Jordan Master Collection Autograph card is on ebay right now. You might want to watch it for grins.
