You really used that derpy, AI-generated mascot redesign as a profile picture? It is the thing of nightmares. Kill it with fire. *looks at name* Oh, okay. Carry on.
He played for many teams, I would not have guessed. Then Super Sonics. http://assets.espn.go.com/nba/news/2000/0328/450661.html
yeah, he did play for the Sonics. But he made up for it by beating the living **** out of Gary Payton at a practice.
If I'm being totally honest, it could've been a lot derpier. This is kind of mild derpiness. The Petons one is super funny.
There are rumors going around that the Spurs are going to take Amen Thompson over Scoot or Miller if they land #2 or #3. Detroit also may prefer Miller over Scoot since they already have Cade and Ivey. If we land at #4 and the teams ahead of us look like this: #1 - Anyone #2 - Detroit #3 - San Antonio What if we still get to draft Scoot Henderson without even making a trade?
Whoever passes on Scoot will regret it i think. I see serious scoring and playmaking potential in him. I feel like he has Morant type of ceiling.
My ceiling comp is Isiah Thomas (1980s 2x NBA champion with Detroit who beat a young MJ twice in the ECF). Insane competitor, great playmaker and downhill scorer with a midrange game. He is a special prospect.
But yeah these kinds of possibilities are why you don't trade out of high pick like this. You never know what's going to happen, how teams might screw up, who's going to fall. There have been tons of star players picked #3-6 in recent NBA history. Cousins (#5), Beal (#3), Dame (#6), Embiid (#3), Brown (#3), Tatum (#3), Fox (#6), Luka (#3), JJJ (#4), Trae Young (#6), Darius Garland (#5), Ball (#3). People saying "we should trade the pick if we don't get Wemby" are showing how much they don't pay attention to the draft, IMO. We're in a great range to be picking in and have a real chance of selecting a future all-star no matter where we land.
