Offers no viable alternatives aside from flexibility. Like if u don't want Harden one of the best playmaker then offer a better alternative that makes sense. If u cant even answer that question, u are basically pushing for running it back with kpj at pg
It's not up to 2 folks that offers a viable solution in harden to have imagination, It's up to 2 the folks that don't want him to offer a more viable alternative that makes sense.
Was watching Harden in the series. He had a great game 1 then game 2 reminded me of what Harden is like in the playoffs. 1 good game followed by 2 bad ones. Still remember that nightmare Spurs series. He can come back but definitely not for the max, get it somewhere else like on the Hornets.
Okay but do fans get a decent alternative to having Fertitta as owner? Guess not. Next. Life is not fair and you do not get enough alternatives IRL either. The alternative is biding your time for a young superstar, that was the plan all along and nothing changed. People who want Harden are behaving like the Last Great Emperor on their high horse demanding super cool alternatives lmao......who tf are those guyz.... Do you guys dole out positive YELP reviews for alternatives to Harden? The entitlement. The audacity. The Bravado.
Lol…. No one from the “harden at all costs camp” offered a viable solution from my perspective. Just a bunch of hope and rockets fan fiction. I’d much prefer Murray or Brown than your “viable solution”.
BimaThug twitter: •(4 years, $202M in terms of cap %) 35% of the cap in 2023-24. With cap smoothing under the new CBA, it’s not like the cap will spike and that’ll be significantly smaller in the out years. •Jalen and Sengun will probably be on large extensions by Year 3 of the Harden deal. Jabari in Year 4. •To put it in perspective, even with max annual raises in the cap, Harden would still count over 30% of the cap ($54M) in Year 4 of that deal. And that’s a BEST case scenario for the Rockets. •Will Tilman suffer the consequences of the new apron/tax penalties? That’s a HUGE TBD. •Here's (approximately) what a "full max" contract from the #Rockets to Harden would look like: 2023-24: $46,900,000 2024-25: $49,245,000 2025-26: $51,590,000 2026-27: $53,935,000 Total: four years, $201,670,000 ____________________________________ “When Udoka cited the desire to add “some veteran pieces,” he specifically mentioned acquiring more shooting and a “different” sort of big man.” — “We’d like to add some veteran pieces there. We are a super young team. We will have up and downs. Harden will quit if things are tough, especially on his last contract. So th issue is not entirely about how good he is or he will be.
Ah yes lets just throw a sht ton of names acting like quantity trumps quality. Harden is literally the cream of crop player u can grab from that free agency group. U take a risk signing him due to concern of durability and age. But the benefits for having a player of hardens caliber is insane. And he fulfills one of our weakest position at pg. Now say u don't want to sign one of the greatest playmaker, yea u can sign any of these players listed but u are taking more risk hoping the star aligns and hope the few players we sign can actually play at the value we signed them at. Like it would b fun to roll the dice and overpay for reaves and players like him hoping they would outplay their contract, but it's quite risky as fk. We are quite boned if we whiff on Harden and henderson due to us dcking around for two years with kpj at pg. It's literally a waste of money signing fvv or any mediocre pg to replace kpj, it's a. Improvement but not by that much when compared to grabbin Harden
Playoff Harden wasn't back in game 1. Try Harden was in game 1. Let's see if who comes back for game 3.
yes, I would rather have KPJ than Harden. Spend that FA money on younger FA that can grow with the club… I loved Harden but even Hakeem had to move on. It’s time
Who are the other 3 level scores, who can also pass in this FA class? Irving, Middleton, Van-Vleet, Russell, Reaves, Clarkson Out of those, who can play some defense, score efficiently, not have a bonehead, not be 5'11, and not tweet about flat earth Jews? Middleton, Reaves - 3-level scoring ability, good size, defensively capable, high IQ, no locker room mess, good passing. Great I'd target one of those two if we miss out on Jimmy, and I think the case could be made that either could be a superior option for us depending on the contract situations. If we wiff on all 3 break the glass and call Miami/Hornets about Lowry/Hayward and kick the cap space until next year. Sign an additional 3&D vet (G.Will/JamGreen/Ingles/Niang/Bev/Carter), and a defensive center (Lopez/Poeltl/Biyombo) or trade for one if you can/have to (Capela/Adams/Turner) and call it an off-season.
I don’t get it. He made $35 mil this year. Why would we pay any more than that? He’s declining, not improving. I’m good with $35 mil for 3 or 4 years but paying him any more than that seems crazy to me. I would not lose any sleep if Harden doesn’t come here. He could help us, but only under the right circumstances.
$33M was his one-year/one-time only discount to Morey to bring in all the other ex-Rockets. (Tucker, Melton, House, Harrell)
