I'm gonna tone it down a bit. Really need Harden to deliver some more good **** this series to get his haters off his back.
I actually believe this actually benefits Boston. Now that harden finally got a clutch/dominant performance that in his mind he needed validate the criticism of his playoff performances, he’s going to become complacent and regulate back to his nonchalant plays again.
I mean, honestly.... Its happened before, this was only one game.... Its way too early to celebrate anything, if Harden was going to have a good game it was going to be a game 1....Lets see if he can pull the series out, thou I'm pretty sure he still gets eliminated this round....
@DreamShook Kings gone; but for a game or two in this series, few folks here will live vicariously through Harden. 22 win season; if the Rockets can't give it to us; we have it get it from somewhere.
Happy for James. Not taking a side for the epic arguments on here, but I'm happy for him. When he's cooking, it's fun to watch, and there just aren't very many players who do what he does. Now seriously watch though: Curry* is the greatest ever for a 50-point playoff performance against tail-tucked Excremento. But Harden won't get much of a mention for 45 and pretty much single-handedly winning at Boston in (still important) game 1. It will be all about Boston failing to win or some similar narrative. * = 8 more shots for Curry... five more points. (I know, and credit deserved for a game 7 performance; not trying to slight the guy, but the narrative is SO different.)
Harden balled out but a lot of it was mostly jumpers. It's not like he was getting to the rim at will like earlier in his career. That's probably not sustainable. The problem for the Sixers is that he can't just put his head down and go to the rim if his shot isn't falling next game. But, this series will really come down to if Embiid is healthy for game 3. If so, the Celtics may have their work cut out for them. Otherwise, they should take the series easily. I'm not expecting pre hammy Harden to make another appearance.
To win the series, yup they'd need Embid. That said was nice to see Harden get a good game. And Harden making his jump shots.
Yea-ah, mostly, you are correct. But damn he had several moments tonight that surprised me. Let's give credit.
Nah. He has to win it all and even then folks would still hate on Harden. Potentially winning this series will just make hater move goal post and call him a choker if he falters in the next series.
Entertaining game. This one had all the makings of one of those Harden playoff games that doesn’t really count for reasons.
