The worrying part is the last couple of games is he barreled to balls about perfect and couldn't even get warning track on them. He is toaaaast

Clutchfans doesn't accept distasteful profanity laden posts. You'll get yourself banned if you keep it up.

Now I guess you'll throw some profanity at me.

He’s had a shoulder issue almost every season in the big leagues… and it’s usually around this time.

With Hensley as the primary backup to Abreu, I see Jose playing almost every day until Brantley gets back.

I hope that Brantley starts at 1B about 1 of every 5-6 games for the rest of the year.

I still think Abreu will turn it around and be a .750+ POS guy the rest of the season but at his age consistent off days can only help.

If Altuve, Alvarez, Bregman, and Tucker can all be at 800+ then that's all that's needed from 1B.

Much like catcher, the Astros have always preached defense at 1B so I think they will use that as an excuse to keep Diaz out of the lineup in that position. I hope Mike can be passable out there. His respect and veteran status will give him a pass in Dusty's book if so.

This team can absorb 1 sub 600 OPS player as Long as the other 8 are: 4 @ .800+ and 4 @.700-799. If there are 2 under .600 then they may be in trouble

Abreu is off to a historically bad start. And Yuli is hitting over .300 and with over an .800 OPS! We could have had him for CHEAP. Two-time champion and fan favorite.

So, it looks like Chas should be back in about a week.

Bannon gets sent down when he's activated. I think this is not questionable

Brantley will likely be ready soon as well.

I think it's between Julks, Hensley, and Salazar. Each has a reason to be sent down and to stay.

I think Hensley needs to be the player, but the team may see Salazar as a wasted roster space if Diaz is not going to DH or PH. And having Julks on the roster with Yordan and Brantley really hurts the versatility.

Dubon is also coming back to Earth, so I could see Hensley getting more chances to straighten out before Altuve comes back.

The bottom line is that 3 of the current 13 will not be on the roster a month from now. I see Bannon, Hensley, Julks, and Salazar as the 4 that could be in danger of being sent to Sugar Land.

I'd like to send down Martinez before Julks or Hensley. Don't feel he's had a good outing in a while.
