Anyone want a fixer-upper at a good price? I'm selling it for $500 OBO. It needs a new starter (though it still starts), the windows are off track, the AC needs minor work, but overall its decent. I'll be back in Houston next week at this time. If you're interested please post here. I will also be submitting it into the Chronicle next week. That is, if I don't decide to take it to a dealership and trade it in while getting a better vehicle.
A 93 foot Cavalier?!?! Jesus, that's HUGE! I don't get how or why or for what reason people put the ' after the number. I'm not callign LooneyToon out, but a lot of peopl do it and I don't know why.
hjg877, ' = foot Looney, If you don't need the immediate cash, I'd recommend dontating it to Houston Can Academy and taking the tax write off. It would probably save you just as much in taxes as you would get on the open market.
Well yeah, that's why I was being facetious and why I discussed how some put the ' after the number. It's supposed to go before the number; I knew that. I think we are confusing each other here...
Only if he itemizes which I don't imagine that he does. I think you'll be able to sell it for somewhere between $300 and $500.
what codell is trying to tell you is that LooneyToon has a pimped out, 93 foot long Cavalier limo with all of the trappings you might find on MTV's "Pimp My Ride", minus a starter Come to think of it, most of the rides on that show are missing more than just a starter under the hood...
Hey - we've all learned lessons the hard way. If this is the most expensive lessons he ever has to learn - he's done better than I have.
It will be easier to sell a car with a broken a/c after the summer is over. The starter - may have to be fixed.
I recently bought a '94 Cavalier. Had to get $450 of work done to pass inspection (most of that was for a broken hand-brake) but it's been running fine ever since. The amazing thing was that it had only 39,500 kms on it when I bought it. It was owned by an old lady who hardly ever went anywhere. I'll be driving it to Ontario this Fall.
