Desantis seeks to punish Disney for disagreeing with him

These are the same super fragile snowflakes that are pouring out their Bud Light and Jack Daniels...after they bought them. The mental capacity isn't quite large enough to grasp the stupidity of their arguments. They're probably going to start shooting in the air the next time they see a rainbow.

I had to read the last 3 pages once I saw this quoted. Tinman has not spammed anymore videos after seeing this. He has not even commented on it. How can anyone take a person like that with even a minuscule of seriousness? It is literally a fad of something to get views for middle aged men that need healthier hobbies.

Here are a few ideas:
Cooking classes
Learn a new language
Take a martial art
Travel
Learn to make furniture
Learn smithing
Workout more
Join a dodge ball league (yes they exist)
Volunteer at a orphanage (help different children that have never had a single birthday party have one)
Mentor a child
Learn to knit

Or continue to spam videos of pointless drivel like a person… that really just needs a hobby. Because if you are going to post this infantile crap at least have the decency to acknowledge what jaygoogle is showing here.

 

I think he's too far gone at this point. I hope my retirement is better than attempting to troll people on a forum because I have nothing else to live for.

I think the model is vulnerable though because it's based on popular vote. So, if an army of SCWs wants to argue that Mario is the anti-woke messiah, they'll vote it as such despite any evidence. Mario has not been scored yet on that site.

What I'd been looking for was a scoring framework for movie wokeness. It'd be something like: +1 for strong female lead, -1 for misyogynist jokes, +10 for men kissing, etc. I haven't found anything like that.

Anyway, glad Disney is suing. It was obvious retaliation for political speech. DeSantis abused his office.

 

I'm honestly just surprised man.

Youtube is a fun website. Sometimes I start watching a video and 2 hours past by, sometimes it's sports videos, sometimes its 'fails', whatever the case...even if let's say he wants to do none of those things and just wants to chill on youtube. Cool but it seems even youtube has better content than that.

I just could not spend much time watching grown men whine about The Little Mermaid or Buzz Lightyear or whatever it is. Just seems like a complete waste of time to me. I dunno.

 

I can only imagine their browsing history….

 

Disney lawsuit shows Ron DeSantis at his bullying, bumbling worst



No one needs to pay hard-earned cash to be entertained by a Disney product anymore.

Not as of Wednesday, when the giant entertainment conglomerate filed a federal lawsuit to quash the efforts of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to punish it for speaking out against DeSantis’ “Don’t Say Gay” law.

The 77-page legal complaint, filed in federal court in Gainesville, Fla., aims to stop what it terms “a targeted campaign of government retaliation — orchestrated at every step by Gov. DeSantis as punishment for Disney’s protected speech.”

That campaign, the lawsuit says, “threatens Disney’s business operations, jeopardizes its economic future in the region, and violates its constitutional rights.”

Whether Disney can make that claim stick in federal court is anyone’s guess. But its filing makes a good case that the only thing that DeSantis and his entourage find objectionable about the company is its speech, and specifically its objection to the “Don’t Say Gay” law.

DeSantis didn’t complain about Disney in any way before that. He certainly didn’t refuse Disney’s $107,000 in contributions to his political campaigns. Nor did Florida Republicans refuse any of the $7.6 million in contributions they’ve received from the company over the last 20 years or so. They started copping an attitude about Disney only when they figured it would be a high-profile foil in their campaigns against “wokeness.”

DeSantis’ anti-Disney campaign appears to be showing its seams. Republicans outside Florida are skeptical about taking on a corporation that is far more popular among ordinary Americans than he is, and appears to have much better lawyers too.

In the meantime, the rest of us can sit back and enjoy the show, and we don’t have to pay $10.99 a month for Disney+ to stream it on TV, either.

Oops. Someone didn't look closely at the earnings report and tried to focus on one aspect of one part.

In a 3 month period, Disney earned 1.49 billion dollars. Even their streaming losses were improved.

The big numbers are a net profit of almost 1.5 billion dollars in 3 months. LOL.
