oof. I'd rather write the Ravens a check for LJ or just roll out Davis Mills for another year.

I find this hugely entertaining. Probably because I don’t give a crap about the Texans and am supremely confident in their ability to screw thingsnup. I do want them to do well and become a contender. But they have been a joke for so long, I have zero emotional attachment to the shitshow franchise, so this draft chaos is very fun.

I hope they get it right. I don’t know what right is. Since I have no clue as to whether the QBs are goingo pan out or whether Anderson can become an elite DE, I want the Texans to pick QB at 2 or 12, or after a trade in the first round of some sort. I will be more entertained if they come away with stroud, Levis or Richardson.

    2) Tyree Wilson, DE, Texas Tech

We've heard the buzz about Houston passing on the quarterbacks in this spot all week. This defense needs reinforcements -- it allowed 5.7 yards per play last year (26th) -- and Wilson is coming off his second straight seven-sack season. Why Wilson over Alabama's Will Anderson Jr.? Look at the kind of player new coach DeMeco Ryans had success with during his time in San Francisco -- guys like Nick Bosa. The Niners thrive with length and power off the edge, and that's what Wilson would bring to Ryans' new team in Houston.

    12) Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State

There is still a chance Houston gets a first-round quarterback, and I wouldn't rule out a trade up from No. 12. After all, the Texans have 12 picks in this draft to work with and an issue under center. But with or without a new QB, this offense lacks playmakers. Smith-Njigba is such a good route runner, and he is so smooth transitioning upfield after the catch. He could immediately become the Texans' WR1 and give their offense a whole new dimension. Remember, he might have been limited to three games last year (hamstring), but he went for 1,606 yards the previous season.

I really hope we do not see "Houston's moving up..." basically at any point tonight unless there is a clear star sliding. We have too many holes to fill and you acquire the volume of picks we have to get game changers. What I hope we don't do is go full Ricky Williams on some of these ideas and come away with a few guys when we need a full complement of solid players to catch up.

I mean I said this earlier….. Seattle is pretty clear trading partner with their draft history.

Anderson at 2 and trade up for Carter. Instantly fix the worst part of the club outside QB. Carter and Rankin in the middle and Anderson on the outside. OH MY!

“First realistic home is 4 (Indy)”

“If we assume Stroud goes 2, which we don’t know, Colts pick would be left with Richardson/Levis. If Richardson doesn’t go 4, he may have a long wait. I’d be surprised if he was taken in the top 10. Titans at 11, hard to see that happening. Commanders, doesn’t seem like they’d be a team. Bucs, not so sure they’d be a QB team. Two biggest possibilities would be Seattle (probably not at 5, maybe 20) and Vikings at 23 that could move up.”

I completely disagree. If we can end up with a QB and an elite pass rusher prospect, and you don’t have to give up future picks, you do it. Worry about depth when you have those positions covered. I’d give up #12, a second, third, and change to move up to 3 or 4 in a heartbeat.

If any of those options happen, NRG should be ransacked.

I'm starting to lean that way also. If we aren't confident they can make the correct pick, might as well go highest risk, highest reward.
