I think that's why someone posted the tweet of Philly moving up. Another team might get him before the 10th pick.
Think about all the times Mills threw a 2 yard pass to Rex (37 times). Bijan is running for daylight on any one of those.

Same things were said about Luhnow.

Taking Bijan would be quite the waste of a pick. RB is literally one of our better positions at the moment considering we already have a surefire starter there. I know (and I'm sure the Texans do too) that he's one of the best overall players in the draft, but taking a RB over our needs on the D-Line, MLB, WR, TE, and QB, seems like it would be a pretty poorly thought out plan...

That's easy for us to say as fans. It's much harder to do when your job is on the line. As a GM, if you draft a QB at 2 and that guy busts, you're not going to be a GM for long. Again, as a fan, I'd be fine taking a QB at 2 or 12 tomorrow as long as that guy is good value. I'd rather go into next season feeling like I have a QB to watch develop rather than another year of Mills. But if Caserio, Ryans and Co. get to tomorrow and don't feel like a QB is the way to go with 2 or 12 to get the best value out of the draft and build the identify they're going for as a team, I won't be devastated by it. Most rebuilds don't happen overnight.

I'd rather pair Mayer with Schultz.

Trade up Nicky C! Let's get a third 1st round pick! What are you waiting for!

Obviously I don’t know the dynamics in the front office, but if Caserio overthinks things and takes Tyree Wilson at 2, then he is almost guaranteed to get fired if Wilson is outplayed by Anderson Jr and multiple QBs succeed from the draft. We can be creative with how we find the QB, but the pressure on Caserio only increases if he takes an unconventional path and fails for the second straight year in the first round.

Really tough draft for Caserio. He has to get it right.

If he doesn't take the QB and they hit... he is going to be on the hot seat.

If he takes Anderson and Tyree ends up being the man he will get flamed... And Vice Versa.

He has to hit this draft.

Personally I think the safer pick is the QB... But hey I know we all feel differently.

For sure. But that's why they've got to hit on their first rounders this year. If they take a QB at 2 and that guy sucks or they take one edge rusher and the other guy is better, Caserio should be gone a year from now. Bottom line, if they do well at 2 and 12 and a year from now, the team has a clear direction and core of young players we feel good about, they'll have succeeded and Caserio will still have a job. That's what I want, regardless if a quarterback is one of those two picks tomorrow night.

It's why QB may be the pick. They will get a few years to develop. Buys Caseiro time...

He could be good.... I just think he has the lowest chance of the 5(Hooker) to get there.

I do agree that there are many ways his seat could get hot after this draft, I think drafting Tyree Wilson or Will Levis will be the fastest path there. When QB is your biggest need, and you have a consensus top-5 QB staring at you in the face, and you pass on him, you not only need to be right, but the others need to be wrong. Even if Tyree is the DROY, and you passed on a QB to get him, ALL the QBs needs to be terrible for him to not get questioned.

That withstanding, If he's not in love with a QB, AND can't find a trade partner, I think Anderson could very well be a safe pick from the standpoint of him fitting a need, and also he doesn't come into camp coming off a season ending, surgically repaired foot. But he HAS to backdoor with a later QB selection, or he'll get questioned again...

It sounds like this trade has started being discussed. Would you trade the 12th overall pick to Miami for Tua Tagovailoa?
