I don't love it. I hope he learned his lesson and I hope what happened in Boston was not as bad as the worst reports about the situation. Supposedly the Rockets did investigate it and were okay with what they found. I'm also not totally sold on him from a basketball perspective. His tenure as HC was short and didn't involve much player development experience. That said, he did come up under Pop and reports are positive on how he actually performed as a coach, so I will withhold judgment and hope for the best.
I love it. The past few seasons Stone as GM, he always acted slow. Think about the trade deadline with many "s". Nobody can tell Ime is the right hire at this time, at least Stone learned his past lesson to make decisions quicker.
He is an old head - he doesn't have time for children off the court. He will dine on swine on his own dime and time - not the Rockets.
Be interesting to know how many per and how many years. Next steps the assistants search begin and who (if any) he'd keep.
yes sirrrrrrr. the only choice that should have been made given the opportunity ClutchFans on Twitter: "Ime Udoka is the new Houston Rockets coach. I love this hire -- assuming the past issues were fully investigated, the Rockets land a coach that is a former player with a great resume, strong voice and demands accountability.
