"in talking to team, their hunch is Tyree Wilson at 2, bosa type and build that doesn't come around very often, ceiling and potential is so high with Tyree, Anderson's name is nowhere to be found, Anderson is a generational human being teams tell him, one team said it would be like Demeco drafting Demeco with the pick of Anderson, this is the type of player that could run your defense for the next decade, interesting you don't see Anderson's name in any of these mocks at 2"
This is exactly right. Spot on actually. They would be foolish to make a trade right now, much better for it to happen on draft night.
This is very interesting. Of course we're all going to tell ourselves that he's talking about CJ Stroud, or someone else, but the most interesting part of the S2 story, is that CJ Stroud's team hasn't come out and refuted this story at all. But I don't know if anyone on that list has even had the chance to "score significantly higher".
Lets say this happens and Bryce Young is a 'meh' type player next season and Houston is in line to draft either Williams and Maye - what do you do? Will there be any stings attached to this pick that you couldnt cut bait in one season for a better player?
Assuming teams have the real scores, don’t think they really need to come out and refute it. Not gonna help or hurt him.
I hope he's either great or craps the bed and doesnt leave any grey area for people to waste time. I'd be fine with taking a QB in b2b drafts if it leads to the franchise guy everyone is hoping for, but it would result in wasting a pick that could have gone to address the other areas of need. Not sure we would have any leverage if Bryce is just a guy and would have to take it on the chin in regards to value.
I could see taking Anderson at 2 and then if one of the QBs is still there at 12 trading down with the Vikings, pick up a first and draft Hooker at 23. Just feels like Nick isn’t sold on any of the 3 QBs after Young.
I don't know how it works exactly, but only 2 teams per division have access to the S2 data. And Lance Zierlein has said he's been told that the Texans aren't subscribed to S2. So if a team did want to scare the Texans off of Stroud, they could leak that info, regardless of if it's accurate or not and the Texans supposedly wouldn't really know. It would seem that there could be benefit to Camp Stroud refuting the reports, at least to the half of the league that doesn't have the actual scores.
The fun thing is after this stressful draft, we get to wait for the stressful NBA Draft lottery next!!! Yay!!
