Has this interview happened yet? I think my preference is shaping up: HC: Udoka Assistants: Lucas, Cassell, Elie, Abdelfattah, Scariolo
Like clockwork, Doc continues to show his flaws. This is what concerns me about Cassell and why I want him to get experience under another coach so we can welcome him home. Multiple ex players ripping him a new one now. What kind of f*cking coach says that? 7 years of money spent through the roof and had influence in the front office. Had all the talent to win and his only job was making them a cohesive, winning unit. What a dumbass.
Loved Sam as a player, but I think we need someone who has shown he can be the top dog. Udoka. Please.
Make them a color commentator duo with matching suits then. I have never been sold on Lucas. He just appeared more energetic than the grinning scarecrow from The Walking Dead, that's all. When your HC has zero personality, you're bound to look good even with a fake no-nonsense style. Elie is simply a journeyman assistant coach who never flourished anywhere. No reason to assume he will with the Rockets.
looks like that will wrap up round 1. no interview for atkinson after the rockets got permission to speak to him. I guess he wasn't interested.
Cassell should come be our Associate HC under one of these other guys if the ultimate HC we choose is interested in having him in the role. Groom him to be the next man up if it doesn't work out.
So since the second interviews have already been reported as being scheduled. Does Sam even get a first?
Obviously love Sam like every rockets fan should, but him being an assistant for Doc for so long concerns me
Loyalty is such a lost art in this what have you done for me today society, Doc obviously thinks highly of him and probably looks at Cassell as being his associate HC(if he doesn't have that title already) Thing is Cassell may tell Doc to do certain things different but in the end Doc is going to make that call Cassell could end up being good coach on his own or the NBA version of J McDaniel of Patriots Had the Rockets not been able to interview who they have thus far I would have Cassell as the frontrunner, but it is looking like he will remain with Doc

Why do Rockets look so clueless on hiring HC? Just select one between Nurse and Udoka. What's the point of interviewing so many assistant coaches when you have great coaches like Nurse and Udoka out there?
