Just here because somehow this turned into a "Houston weather is good" thread.

Houston weather sucks and people trying to say it doesn't are lying through their teeth.

There are a lot of decent things about living in Houston, you don't have to lie about the weather. Just admit that you love being sticky.

Even though I prefer cold weather, I do think liking hot, sweaty weather is a valid preference. You do you, I guess, even though I personally hate it.

I do miss Houston's food scene, especially all the inexpensive ethnic food.

I don't miss the 20 lane freeways that still get bogged down during rush hour. I don't miss the awful public transportation system and vast swathes of generic, unwalkable suburban sprawl. I don't miss the horrible drivers. I don't miss the mosquitoes. I don't miss the hurricanes and floods.

Houston will always be where I was born and raised and there will always be certain things I have a fondness for, but there's no denying that the quality of life just isn't as good as most other big cities, especially if you have money. It mainly grew so fast because it was cheap and had a good economy, not because of the climate, culture, infrastructure, scenery, etc.

If Sengun is okay with Brown coming over then I like the move... Otherwise pass..... Lets bring back Harden instead...

I have to disagree with the quality of life comment. I’ve lived in so many big cities and very few are as livable as Houston. To me the biggest problem with Houston is the humidity. I can’t deal with it. That’s personal preference. It’s why I won’t live there. But livability and quality of life for your money in Houston is extremely high relative to other cities. And it’s diversity and food are world class.

the other problem with living in Houston is that it is located in Texas…which has apparently gone insane since I lived there.

And they ain't getting any better, homie. Houston freeway driving is always one half-blink away from a closed coffin funeral.

Crazy people are willing to trade Tari over Jabari

If I have to choose to include Tari or Bari
Bari is gone if I'm in the front office.

Depends what you mean by quality of life. Many people prefer community based urban areas that have much more walkable areas where you can easily live your life without an automobile.

What I mean is that usually the teams star/ franchise player gets a say on who comes over.... We don't want a disgruntled Sengun asking to be traded because Brown is hindering him....

If we drop beyond #2, I'd rather keep the picks, draft Walker and try and pkg Porter and Martin for a late lotto to take Wallace. Take Lively at #20. Sign Reaves and Johnson. AND bring in Udoka!

    Reaves, Wallace, TyTy
    Green, JC
    Johnson, Tari
    Bari, Walker
    Sengun, Lively, Garuba

Reaves at point guard is an interesting take, to say the least. I don't hate this scenario, except I don't know if KPJ + Martin gets you a late lotto pick without including the Clippers pick, and I don't know that we really need Lively if we're taking Walker (not enough big man minutes to go around, especially with Eason kinda being a combo forward)

Reaves, played the point in HS and his first year or two of college. Def playmaking ability. Agree that Porter and Martin may not bring a late lotto. I have doubts many teams would actually take Porter on despite his talent, but I would try even if possibly giving up a future 1st. Very high on Wallace. Think he's going to be really good for a long time in the league. All defense team potential given time. Would like to keep the Clips pk for a chance at Lively. We need a long rim running/protector behind Sengun desperately. These moves would give balance to the team and with the right coach a bright future.

I actually think Walker could play a lot of small ball 5. He was a very good shotblocker and rim protector in college. I agree with liking Lively though, I think he's a good prospect and he would be a good value grab at #20.
