man, sometimes I still can’t believe these are posts from an actual president

that reads like it came from a teenager begging for validation

How do grown adults actually take him seriously?

this obese baby is asking for nice guy credit because he’s choosing to not scam the mindless drones at an increased price when he knows he could and would get away with it

Rather than work to improve salaries and working conditions, the GOP keeps trying to make another Gilded age. Just remember how that worked out last time.

The House Speaker tried to gas light a business journalist, thru sleight-of-hand, on the dangers of raising the debt ceiling.

after his convenient claim, the jounalist reminded McCarthy that he had previously voted to raise the debt ceiling 3 times during the Trump presidency

That's their solution to the labor shortage: child labor. There is a much better solution that could help everyone, but they wouldn't consider it. There are plenty of immigrants who are ready to take on those jobs, even if it's just through a temporary work permit. However, the GOP is so opposed to immigration that they would rather resort to using child labor

and this was so important that they stayed up all night and passed it while most were sleeping...........or maybe they did that so no one would notice. What a joke, Iowa (and Nebraska) is hurting finding help in the slaughterhouses, this should help. If you have never been on a kill floor at a chicken, pork or beef processing plant I suggest you go, its a thrill o_O The sights, sounds and SMELL will make you want to leave work and get a double cheeseburger on your way home

This is obviously a push from the "industry" since covid did a number on their labor supply. A number of GOP legislators have now passed similar laws. AR a few weeks ago.

They're not going to be able to stop the push for raising wages because of inflation. Kids are cheaper hires.

Cheap child labor. Just like the old days.

    FL is trying.

    https://www.orlandoweekly.com/news/...es-and-by-extension-working-families-34000075

Escalating the Florida Legislature’s attacks this year on working Floridians, Republicans now want to prevent local governments from requiring that companies they contract with pay their employees a living wage that exceeds Florida’s current minimum wage of $11 per hour.

An amendment filed to a controversial bill supported by conservative groups, was approved by the Republican-dominated Florida House Commerce committee on Monday, taking aim at what are known as “living wage ordinances.”
