If given a choice of two punishments, where you have take one...

a) someone momentarily grab one of your ankles

OR

b) someone step on your torso with his full weight.



One is unlike the other.

 

Green tried to disentangle himself from Sabonis.
He tried to get away with stomping on Sabonis in the process.

Sabonis grabbed Green's leg or at least tried to impede him.
And I think he also sold it a little, soccer style, when Green stomped on him, to get Green ejected.

Personally, I think both of these are true, though Green's infraction was more egregious, of course.

Anyways, great series. And watching the Warriors flame out in the first round would be highly enjoyable.

 

Green's rep doesn't do him any favors and his antics after his ejection was just way over the top. They used to levy extra fines when guys didn't leave the court in a timely manor when they were ejected but Green does it and its crickets from the league office.

 

Dirty NBA definitely got the memo out to the media guys to call it a 'step' not a 'stomp', so the no suspension reads better smh.

Did I read the guy deciding the punishment is greens buddy!? Double smh

 

Absolute must win for the kings in game 3. They lose game 3 it’s over

 

Draymond Green is the dirtiest player in the league and clearly has a rage problem. With that said, I'd love to have him on the Rockets!

 

Kings have to capitalize and end it game 3. Can’t have scrubs like Wiggins and Poole go off for 30.

It is light, but they didn’t have a choice but to do something even with all these people trying to make “grabbing” his foot a thing

 

lololol. Was unlikely that the dubs would offer him the contract he was looking for in the offseason. This pretty much cements that. It's over for the Warriors this postseason, over for Dray as a Warrior, and over for Dray being an effective player as he won't get away with a quarter of his antics on another team.

Of course he will. He was eligible for an extension before the season and it wasn't given to him. Doubtful that the Warriors extend him this offseason after a likely first round exit, largely due to his shenanigans.

The big payday won't happen and if he wants to retire a Warrior, he'll have to take a pretty substantial pay cut... because he decided to use someone's chest as a step stool.
